Price is the Hart winner. He's the difference between a division winner and a lottery team. Just imagine that team with Tokarski playing 65 games. - JohnFergusonJr
I laugh at this argument. Imagine any team with a backup for 65 games.. if there was no Price I'm sure the Habs would have signed or traded for a capable #1.
Speaking of Price, he has some serious competition for the next team Canada gig from Braden Holtby. This kid is nuts too.

Go Caps! Upset the Rangers and our pick goes to 21 from Nashville. It sits at 22 right now.
It can get to 20, if the Flames upset the Ducks. The Hawks/Wild are already behind the overall points of Nashville, one will get to the conference finals. The Habs/Lightning are both ahead of the Nashville pick, but one will lose and not make the conference finals, so it doesn't matter. |

New York (Lundqvist only played 46 games), Chicago, St. Louis and Anaheim used back-up calibre goalies and were among the best teams in the league. But the Habs are garbage without Price. |

Signing Babcock is a major mistake, at this point and time. We need a coach that has experience with young players. We need a GM that is dedicated to player development. Now is not the time to win, 3 years from now is. Save the coin and get a good teacher. - PrinceLH

That's because those teams have capable backups. Did you watch tokarski play this year? Disguisting . And by some miracle he still managed to go 5-5-2 however that happened |

Just so I'm not making a mistake, do you think Montreal would be a successful team without Carey Price and say Antti Niemi in goal? |

Maybe the team is actually pretty good (even though they can't score)?? |

22, you sure? - As_I_See_It
Take the standings, the two conference finalists are seeded 27 - 30. After that, it goes by overall standings. St. Louis has a better record, 26, Montreal and Tampa is ahead in the standings, 24. Both Chicago and Minnesota has a worse record then Nashville, one will move on, one will not, 23rd. So right now, it's 22. If the Rangers lose to Washington it can go to 21. If the Flames win over Anaheim, it can also move to 21. If both teams are upset, it can go to 20. |

There may be no one left for Club Blue privileges by training camp, next year. I think someone like Dale Hunter fits the bill. NHL coaching experience. A hard ass player, when he played...took no prisoners. A winning junior program in London. He seems to be one of the best options out there for what our needs are.

Serious question:
If Babcock signs up with EDmonton....are you guys gonna piss and moan on here for 3 days like you did when the Oilers won the draft lottery, and the right to draft budding superstar and generational talent Connor McDavid?

Well they did pick up Dubnyk for peanuts and then put him in the minors just to show how easy it is. |
