I still think EJ Manuel could be a top 15 qb. Look who his offensive coordinator was. With the running game and defense top 15 is all you need IMO. - c1067
EJ is nothing more then a clip board holder and until the Bills figure out you need an NFL STARTING QB to succeed, it doesn't matter who the coach is. Yet another DB they draft yet again when they need a QB. |

So you're telling me you'd rather pick a project quarterback that will likely end up peaking as a backup than a player who will compete to start this or next year? Woof. I'm not sure if you've seen our offensive line, but it's (frank)ing awful. A better offensive line means better running back numbers and more time for the qb to make a play.
As far as a CB is concerned, cb's are like top 4 defenders in hockey. Can't have enough quality. Take a look at the 2014 Jets. They had no quality. And that combined with their poopty qbs made them lose all the time because they got eaten alive by even average wr's. |

EKLUND: Quick hit here, but it really appears that Babcock is more than likely leaving Detroit for a MEGA contract...A source confirmed today that Babcock is carrying the torch for coaches everywhere and does want to get the big contract as much for future coaches as he does himself....
more to come...I am hearing Babcock news could intensify this evening. |

Except as of right now he already has more than what the average coach normally has. He may not want more, but he definitely won't want less and I can't see Murray giving that to him.

Anyway, based on what? I hope it's not based on him not conferring with Nolan on personnel decisions, because you know as well as I do that Nolan was a lame-duck coach. - grand-magus
Not based on Nolan (to which i agree with you) but rather the way Murray has conducted business and what he said in his presser. He's got the "my way or the high way" approach.
He wants his own guy and has his own vision for the team. Babcock will want to continue having a say in that wherever he ends up and while i do believe he's earned it, im not convinced that Murray will give in. |

Hey..HEY. Leave the speculation to Garf pls. Buffalo is the only place #Babclock will go. There's no way he goes no where else. Also, we'll get ROR, Malkin and 7 first round picks. |

Very Short sighted take.
Fred Jackson is 57 and Bryce Brown is not good. Anthony Dixon is a 1-2 down, change of pace back. Do tell, who backs up Shady next year? |

That's hardly a response to my post. No one said EJ is a starting quarterback. But neither are any of these jerkoffs past Mariota. |

Considered a great pick by a lot of analysts and it makes a lot of sense as well. 5th round picks are just like those in hockey. Ones with potential to stick. And this kid is probably already better than Bryce Brown. |

I think the problem is that we don't need someone to be better than Bryce Brown or Boobie Dixon. And if Shady is going to be a workhorse, then you hardly need a guy who can carry the ball behind him, barring an injury.
The problem is we have a need for LB depth, we should be drafting a QB every year in rounds 2- 4 and we can use all the OL help we can get.
I can get over the DB pick in round 2, because if we had a 1st round pick, a DB in the 2nd is a smart choice. But we didn't have a 1st round pick.
Idk, but to me, a TE is a far better choice right now than another RB. We had 2 TE's leave this year, offer-sheeted a question mark and have no true blocking TEs.
So, when you need TE and LB depth, and your QBs are Matt Cassel, EJ Manuel, Jeff Tuel and whoever that other guy is, this is a horrid choice.

Don't look now, but LeSean McCoy is...how old?
Fred Jackson has the wear of a RB going on 30. And funny enough, so does Shady.
But it still makes no sense to take a RB in the later rounds THIS year.

I disagree about Bryce Brown for one. For two, next year is next year. They could address that in both free agency and the draft next season when they will have a 1st round pick. |

The funny thing is Babcock is under contract until the end of June. He cannot sign with another team until them (unless Detroit gives the okay) the only way Detroit does that is if there is compensation involved. Which means draft picks...do we really want to give up picks for a coach? |
