I don't mind the attitude. He is 39 his game is what it is at this point. He wants to win. As long as the team wins, he will be happy. You see how pissed he was when he shanked the open net vs the Pens? He cares. I don't expect him to come in the postgame and say I suck, take me out of the lineup. He is doing what he can to help the team win. Yesterday he scored a big goal for them. - TPC
And to piggy back off of this, 2 of those goals yesterday don't get scored if Nash isn't on the ice. 1st one he screened Holtby who had no idea where the puck was, 2nd one he made the defensive steal in the neutral zone and passed to MSL. |

I had no problem with the Brassard penalty, because I thought the penalty the Caps got for hooking Hags was a bit iffy in a playoff game. The offsides call made me laugh it was so bad, it happens though. I think if people actually read our comments on the blog, there is almost no complaining about anything with the refs. Just Boyle & Nash. - mdw7413
Nash NEEDS to put a few in, but if he continues to play like he did in game two, they will come |

These guys saying that the Rangers are crying about the refs are the same fools who think Kreuder runs goalies and tried to run Holtby, love it, I hope he runs Holtby and his whole family
Nothing like a hit and run right, come make one stupid comment and run |

I just honestly have no idea where its coming from. AV when asked about the Backstrom hit said "Don't ask me , I'm not answering any questions about it." |

It depends, Brassard is a playoff player. So if Nash is setting up a lot of Brassards goals and playing really good, I could care less as long as the Rangers win. Its when the Rangers lose Nash is going to take the hit for not scoring. But can anyone honestly tell me "if" the Rangers won the Cup anybody would give a crap how many goals Nash scored. |

If I was sather I would have hagelin signed already not even a debate between keeping him or MSL anymore. Great player just at end of line. And there's plenty of guys who are leaders on this team. |

Good point about Brassard.
Ofcourse, I and know one would care, but I don't see Rangers winning cup w/out a few goals from Nash. I tell you one thing, NYR wins Stanley Cup last year if Nash put a few in the net. |

Also, I think Nash will play even better if he puts in a goal or two. I just think for his confidence it would be huge, and regardless what he and his teamates say, it would be a huge weight off his shoulders b/c the media would let up a bit as well.
Hey Stamkos scored!! Tomorrow Nash will too |

I know but Healy must say Price is the best goalie in the world at least three times a period . Gets a little tiresome |

Yeah I agree. Would love for Nash to light up the lamp but history tells us it might not happen. I actually think he will score tomorrow though.

Jan i like your blogs. Always well written, And insightful, With just a touch of homerism(to be expected). But to complain about the refs when you had ONE penalty. And the Caps had FOUR. That is taking it to another level. If you cancelled the Brassard penalty the Rags would have skated an entire playoff game with no penalties? Do you honestly believe your team doesn't take penalties?
And i apologize now if you are leaning more to the off sides calls and the like! But you specifically mention the ONE penalty your team was called for. - camfor
Camfor - thanks, i try and be objective and call it as I see regardless of which team I root for. My comment was more so on the officiating as a whole and not just on the penalty. That specific call was a ticky-tacky one especially when viewed in the prism of what wasn't called. The offsides non-call was a blatant miss and could have cost a cost, similar to the TB-Det one from Friday night. Just get the call right, don't care who its against, that was the point I was making. |

They just can't score. Plenty of chances. Stupid penalties too. I don't care who wins this series, just want it as long as possible.
