Camfor - thanks, i try and be objective and call it as I see regardless of which team I root for. My comment was more so on the officiating as a whole and not just on the penalty. That specific call was a ticky-tacky one especially when viewed in the prism of what wasn't called. The offsides non-call was a blatant miss and could have cost a cost, similar to the TB-Det one from Friday night. Just get the call right, don't care who its against, that was the point I was making. - airjan23
Ya Jan. I agree with you there, officiating as a whole really blows. Heck if they called an offside in last years western conf. finals....MAYBE you guys play us in the finals.......And....MAYBE......win another cup.
I also hate the no call, no call, no call, no call, call, no call, no call, etc. etc. If we hate it. Imagine how the coaches and players must feel.

The inconsistency In every aspect (on the ice, off the ice, in Toronto) even kick ins, that's the worst. I don't think it's ever been worse then now. The full on let go check from behind now when that was never ever let go
At the time I was disappointed that the Rangers lost Brandon Prust. Maybe if he stayed with the Rangers he wouldn't have turned into the jackass that he has become. There has to be something about that Canadiens sweater that turns players into complete bumholes. Its unbelievable. I'm not even talking about the calling out he ref business. The officiating has been dreadful for all teams. Just the way he act, he has now taken down Ben Bishop twice now, but nobody EVER will say a damn thing about him b/c they are Montreal. He intentionally hurt Stepan last year, throws his elbow pad at the TB bench, complete Jack Wagon. Nice contract that turned out to be

Prust "They called us names!"

I have lost total respect for Prust. Not just cause he was a Ranger, but I did think he was tough but fair as a player, no BS. The last few years he has been involved in far too many bush league acts. A$$hat!!!

I've never seen a team try and make contact with a goalie more than Montreal, they really have a set to bitch and moan about Kreider
he directed and (unfortunately) narrated the 30 for 30 Big Shot about spano.
Was probably one of the better ones of that series, but they're all great. The only downfall was having to his squirrel like voice for 50 minutes. - NYRangers1124
I liked that episode of 30 on 30. I enjoyed watching that whole embarrassing episode.
So it sounds like Jeff Gorton is one of the 4 finalist for the Boston GM job - TPC
According to Carp, the Rangers never gave the Bruins permission to talk to him. I think Gorton should stay right where he is, and I think Slats and Dolan will make sure he gets the job when Sather moves to Banf permanently.

The Rangers should have given him permission. You never hold a guy back from advancing, never. If they want to tell him that Slat's job is his once he retires, that's all well in good, but I don't like it if they tried to prevent him from interviewing. That would actually surprise me if the Rangers did that.

Sather apparently never gives permission until the season is over. That's why Gorton never got interviewed by the Pens last year even though they had him on their shortlist.

This is exactly what I read as well. I wonder if there is some sort of informal agreement that he is next in line.

I am not sure you'd get much of an argument from NYR fans if Dan Boyle got the Stu Bickel treatment late in tight games. Thats not happening however, AV needs to be on his game and he should probably use a little more of Staal on Ovechkin.
