Series isn't over. Win next one and pressure appears on the Lightning... What is Gonchar doing? Is he that bad to sit out? Or is he hurt? Couldn't he help PP? |

can't pin this on Therrien either. he's done a good job of getting them prepared in the playoffs generally. they've carried the play for long stretches. but it's like at this point, they know they can't score goals and every goal against is so deflating. - DoubleDown
Yeah, the lack of scoring talent is an issue. And it's not something the coach can change. |

against any other team you'd be right but this 7 straight games Tampa has beaten Montreal. 28-11 score. sometimes you're just owned. |

Greenway. He and McCarron will form a powerful duo in the AHL. You could trade for Biggs and bring about the apocalypse. |

He was injured apparently, but he's ok now, coaches just wanted to stay with the same lineup since they won the last game vs. Ottawa and that the 1st game vs. Tampa was so close.
My guess is that he makes it back in the lineup and Pateryn is out. |

he's reverted back to a few years back when he'd just try to go end to end and do spin-o-ramas every time he touches the puck. it's extremely annoying. |

Tks for noticing we're not whinning about the refs btw
That one reason I stopped hanging in your thread during games this winter. Non stop whinning about the refs or the CBC, it never stops!! |

That, and instead of putting the puck on the net from the blue line, cranck his stick through the roof of the arena (and obviously shoot right on the guy standing in front of him) |

yeah he needs to relax. team is perfectly capable of not scoring goals without his idiocy. |

Gonchar is too slow to play a regular shift against Tampa. They will get killed with him on the ice at even strength. |

Yep. He's done everything he could with what he has. This group has no finish, they need 20 scoring chances to put one in the net.
But hey! They're improving. They scored 2 last night! |

exactly...but they have no options in the stands. Except maybe putting Prust in the pressbox, Weise on the 4th line and dress Charles Hudon. Not the savior by any means, but sometimes you can get results by shaking the lineup a little. I don't think he can do any worse than any of the other players in the top 9 right now. |

I don't think you throw all of it on Therrien but I think he needs to take his share of the blame too.
what's happening on the power play is a (frank)ing aberration. Nobody moves, nobody goes to the net, it's ridiculous these are adjustments the coaching staff needs to make either to the people they send out on the ice or to the setup or zone entries or anything you have to change that up. |
