Having Stéphane Auger on board to comment about the calls is interesting.
Also because we don't have to hear Patrick Lalime between the plays. - _nay_
Yes, very interesting,
"Stephane, que penses-tu de la décision de l'arbitre?"

Having Auger providing comments on calls in addition to Kerry Fraser's C'Mon Ref! column is just the worst (frank)ing thing ever |

really? because i'll take guys who have even the slightest (frank)ing clue where the opposing net is. what good did Prust's emottion do last night? that's not Montreal's game. Montreal's game is calm, steady. frustrate the other team and let them get emotional. the poop that Prust pulled last night only hurts the rest of these vaginas. - DoubleDown

If the HABS are swept 4 straight it will be a wake up call for Management because Yes they are a top team in the East but in the League they are a top 10 team and that's it. They would struggle in the Central to make the playoffs.
Riding Price's coat tails will only take you so far. They need a serious injection of offense in their top 6. |

We need a No.1 Center. Start there. DD tries but is too small in the playoffs. Same for Plekanec. |

Well, I think he did a good job of pulling the heat off of the rest of the team.
Now the story is Prust vs. Watson he said she said crap. Instead of how poorly the team played overall.
The elbow pad throwing is stupid. I'm not defending what he did. But at least he refuses to roll over. I'd love to seem him use that emotion more effectively as DT mentioned. |

Yes some of that emotion (channeled) in the bodies of 14 and 27 would be nice. |

Yes, this was the worry going into the playoffs. The little scoring they were doing in the reg season has dropped off a cliff now to embarrassing levels. 5 vs 5 scoring was actually decent all year. Looks like the PP is killing them and right now, that's on the coaching. They have the tools to have a competitive power play. They have changed nothing. The big change was Petry with Subban on first wave but they still pass around the perimeter.
My guess, the price was too high for Bergevin to get someone that can score this year. I'm fine with that, I didn't think Montreal had what it takes to win the cup this year. Bergevin has to address the lack of offense in the off season and especially the situation at center. Galchenyuk will never be an NHL center if you play him on the wing. Start him at center, let him make mistakes. I'd like to see Eller, Galchenyuk, one of Plekanec/DD as the 3 centres and someone else as a 4th line center. Pleks or DD has to go next year. |
