Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. Time for Leopold to make some wholesale changes. All credit due given to the Hawks, but this team choked plain and simple.
Good luck to Chicago, I'm sure your boys will get a little more fight out of Anaheim.

If the Wild don't tie it up by the end of the period the game is over.
Chicago hasn't lost a game leading after two all season.
It's science man.... |

All i gotta say is: At least bickell doesn't have a goal.
-at least we didn't match the islanders 7 year offer for vanek.
-same story as last year. We need a legitimate first line center. We need what vanek was supposed to be. I really don't think we are that far off. |

Still 2 years left of Vanishes deal though. And yes, legit first line center and a pure goal scorer. I'm sure Fletch can fill both of those requistions no problem... |

I just want to reiterate how absolutely pathetic this series was for this team. Has to be one of if not thee biggest choke jobs in Wild history.
A true kick in the nuts to Wild fans. As I've said before, don't mind losing, especially to a superior team, but this was a pile of poop performance in a nut shell.
And one last thing... Why the (frank) are the last two shots of the game/series/season off the stick of Suter?!!! 2 goals this season... That is (frank)ing baffling. Yeo needs to answer for some things here in this series and not taking Suter off the PP in lieu of any number of puck moving more offensive players is mind numbing.
Nuff said. |

Gotta hand it to the Blackhawks - they played an excellent defensive game all series, Crawford was very good, and they cashed in on their scoring opportunities. I'd say they beat the Wild at their own game, except for the cashing in on scoring opportunities - the Wild are never that efficient. |

Silver lining in all of this - I don't have to watch that scumbag pick up the Cup in a Wild sweater. |

Sucks Chicago beat you guys. Good luck next year. Hopefully we will both make it a little further. Both of our teams just need the swagger and confidence they have. |

Tony, I JUST WANTED TO SAY CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your child!
Make sure you cherish the minutes, days and weeks of these first four years.
They grow and develop so fast.
Take videos.
Lots.
And help your wife, because she probably will not get much sleep for the next four years!
Bill - wiz1901
amen to that. My 15 old is well, a teen, and we all know how those years go, but my 5 year old is still sweet as heck. Have to enjoy these days while I can.
They truly fly by. |

Why do the Wild fans dislike him so much? Seems often home teams are accepting of their knuckleheads, at least to some extent.
You Wild fans are the most reasonable and level headed of any I've seen on here.
Couldn't develop any animosity towards the Wild either. They just play the right way. |

Well i honestly was expecting this series to be a war! Cant say i;m disappointed that the team will get a lengthy break though(especially the "D").
Not sure where your team goes from here.
Good luck with it all. |

I think one thing we all have to keep in mind is that it isn't only Chicago that they have to get through.
Winnipeg is pretty good team that can play fast and physical and they have a very good prospect pool. Maurice is also a very good coach and I think he has that team moving in the right direction.
Dallas has quite a bit of skill and if they get some solid goaltending and improve their defense a bit they are not going to be an easy team to beat either.
Colorado has a lot of speed and skill up front and those core players are young. If they sure up their blueline they are going to be consistently better.
As tough as it was to make the playoffs this year in the Central, I think it will be tougher the next 2-3 years. And getting out of the divisional playoffs is going to be really difficult. |

Well, to each his own on this topic, but I just hate that guy, always have. And playing on the Wild doesn't wipe out the memories I have of him pulling a lot of dirty, unnecessary sh!t in this league.
They guy just had zero respect for other players for such a long time. The thing that bothered me most is that he is actually a pretty good player. He's got the skills to be effective without having to cross the line like he does. Some guys play on that edge and cross the line because it's really the only thing that they can bring to the team. I just never understood why he constantly made the dirty stuff a part of his game when it wasn't necessary to keep him in the league. He just seemed to like playing that part.
I do think he's changed his game for the most part but I don't think it's because he suddenly realized that what he was doing was wrong and he gained respect for his fellow players. From what I can see, he was basically told to clean it up or he wasn't going to be in the league anymore. After watching his bullsh!t for about 10 years I don't really care how much he cleans it up. The guy shouldn't be playing and I won't cheer for him because I can't respect the way he has played the game over his career. |
