BTW, quality post on page 17 of the Rags thread. Funny stuff. I'm sure that will get their dander up.

The Flyers are the most hated; but the gap is seriously closing with the Rags. Can't f'in stand them and their fans. - Oneonta Penguin
Agree. Philly fans can be annoying, but not nearly as arrogant. After all of that trolling the Rags fans did over here this collapse is REALLY entertaining. What's that old saying.... "That team couldn't score in a whorehouse with a fist full of 100's."
Rick Nash. What a F'n joke.

Unfortunately, that old saying is true with a baseball team in Pittsburgh now. That is another rant that doesn't need to be put on this board.

My goodness. How did the Malkin trade proposals start again?!?!. Do I need to repost the multiple articles which were released no more than two weeks ago with JR stating that neither Malkin or anyone else in the "core" is getting traded!!! - joescullz
You really expect them to say anything else? Even if they 100% planned to trade one of the core, why would mgmt devalue the asset by saying they are getting rid of them? You can't honestly believe they wont have conversations about every player this offseason.
It's unlikely because its hard to find the right suitor .... but I'm not ever going to fully believe a controlled PR message to the media.

Do you guys think that Drouin could be nabbed from Tampa? They have an embarrassment of riches at forward right now, and he had a underwhelming season. |

I got a pm from him and he got banned again. So, Grinder47 is picking up the slack not he Rags board. Low and behold, a ref comes in and tells him to cool it and stop trolling. Glad to know the refs were out in full force when the turds from the Rags came over during the series. Nothing like this site. |

Rags mods are 11 year old children. Once they get crying bans fly everywhere.
Is there even a mod for the Pens board?
Anywho, nice win Craps, love to see those salty dirty rag tears flowing.

Sucks to be out so early from the playoffs. Now I know how it feels to be like a Flyers fan |

Dupuis, Kunitz, Perron are all older guys (not so much Perrson but he's been around the block for 26-27) on our LWings with guys in their prime down the middle between 27-29 why not try to load the RWings with younger guys like Kapanen, Bennett, and 2 other call ups. Gives all the lines a good balance of age, nurtures the rookies (like Guerin and Roberts and Recchi did with Malkin, Staal, and Sid) and will give us a look at what legit prospects we have (which isn't many) and an opportunity for one to maybe surprise management/us.

The Caps are just better than the Rags. I tried to tell them. That series isn't over yet but I still believe the Caps eventually win it. They're grinding them down to a nub.
So now that Mtl looks done, I wonder if they'd be willing to make some moves now. The have some really nice pieces. I do believe they need a star forward to get them over the hump. Anyone know one who may be available?
Malkin, Sutter, Spal for Gallagher, Patches, Weise, Galch, draft pick. Sign Soder. Sign a vet D guy. Boom. Done.

Read a few comments - (frank) me!
Honestly come across as spoilt kids some of them. Can't win but not over so whinge about everything. Never seen anything like it & that's saying something!
I'll bet the same children will be praising the same players they want to kill if you win next game. Very immature! Amazing! |

That's the thing. Resign the majority of this years team if possible & let the young D play - possibly pick up an old if Scuds gets bought out, sign a F & if they don't want to trade a D for the best possible return then play the team hope injuries are few & far & let these guys settle together to get some cohesion. The team may surprise people that aren't expecting Stanley next year. |

Someone brought up Tikhonov yesterday, to which I am in agreement with, he would be a solid pick up. Good two way player with size. He doesn't project to be much more than a third liner though, could sneak up to the second line if he finds some scoring.
He is a UFA in July, could be a very productive signing.
Also, looked a lot into Panarin and this board would have hated him. Soft, speedy, skilled. 5'11 and a 170 soaking wet. That signing would have been chewed up and spit out here. |

Getting top 6 potential on the wings without giving up assets should never be criticized by a Penguin fan.
Wouldnt mind Tik but I wouldnt expect more than 4th line play out of him. |

What we should do is shave cap space, bring in Semin at 50% off (Thanks Carolina), then sign Kovalchuk next season when he returns and watch this board go up in flames |

As someone who said a minor rebuild and two years ... you seem to have this minor rebuild done in the matter of weeks. Not opposed to this. I don't think Montreal would do that. You take Patches, Gallagher and Galchenyuk away; that gives them Malkin, Sutter, Plekanec and Desharnais. That is a lot worse than what they had.
However, I do think they need a shakeup. When two of your top four scorers/point producers are defensemen, then ...
Yep, they have some nice pieces. |

Just simplify it, Patches, Galch, 1st for Malkin.
Trade/worry about all the secondary pieces later.
MTL has DD on their top line, and Therrien as their coach, they should have the motivation to acquire Malkin. |
