You were 20th in the league in goals for this year so this is not a new thing.
You need Kessel who we will gladly let you have for Galchenyuk and your first rounder - Rang
Nah dog... why not Galchenyuk, Gallagher and TWO first rounders?? |

On a positive note, Tampa is exposing all of the habs weakness. Hopefully Bergevin is taking note to the fact that we don't have a top 6 line, our PP is a joke and Markov can't play on the top 2 D pairing anymore.
Good luck to Bergevin this summer , he's gonna be busy. - ShafterBenRaide
Montreal has some top 6 forwards but not enough. Markov is still a 3-4 guy, just can't play 30 minutes a night. He should be playing 14-18 with PP time. That is what will make signing Petry so damn important IMO. The PP being a joke is simply because the ONE play they use is over coached and they had no other. Not hard to stop a play that everyone knows is coming. And as much as guys over-react about MT, he does share a part of the blame. Stop changing players and trying the same (frank)ing play. And can someone explain to me why he plays Desharnais with Pacioretty and Gallagher for ONE shift, they score and are never paired together again for the rest of the 3rd?! Oh and this is when Plekanec was our worst forward by a country mile last night. Pacioretty and Gallagher created offensive chances in spite of him last night. |

if you sign Petry you have no room to improve the main reason we lost this series and the main reason we lost the NYR series and the main reason we lost the Ottawa series: we cannot score goals. you can't just sign Petry and come back with this same team next year. i'd love for him to be back but you'll have to shed another big salary on D to do it. |

Most or all of the weaknesses have been composure and not playing the system.
Anyway, I'm gonna be up late if you wanna chat.. - pete26
i disagree about that. Montreal has largely dominated possession at 5 on 5 this series. they played their system to a T on Friday and last night. well, they played it last night for 59 minutes and 55 seconds. they've given themselves a chance to be in this series. but no one individual up front has really stepped up their game in the playoffs. maybe Gallagher. they need serious upgrades up front. |

STEPPING UP! - TypLeafsFan fan
and i know Pacioretty had a few shots but he wasn't dangerous at all.
DD actually played surprisingly well. Plekanec too. and Gallagher obviously.
it was a disappointing finish but to be honest, did we really see Montreal winning in OT anyway? |

I guess it could be worse... we could be Rangers fans...
That jersey and everyone who puts it on just causes me shame, I picked the worst organization to root for, epic choke artists, F them, I hope they lose on home ice and get booed

If you look at game 1, Desharnais was probably the best habs forward... |

i don't even know if it's that. i think he just doesn't have the legs, no matter how fresh he would be. |

i actually thought he had some jump in the offensive zone but his shots either missed the net or were blocked. he just doesn't seem able to make quick decisions with the puck. |

meh 2 out of the 3 games the Habs have played pretty good defensively, he's definitely had a rough go but all in all they've held TB pretty well. |
