Well MSL should free up $6 million
- KreiderBomb

You know Sather will re-sign him...There is no way in hell he will be sent packing! Vets like him get the "respect re-signing". He will be signed for 2mill and incentives.

Whatever has to be done, do it, a guy like him with a winning pedigree will make a huge difference with this group of playoff chumps.
- MidnightMarauder

MSL was considered a clutch playoff performer until this year. Williams is 34, and honestly, over-hyped.

I wouldn't get sucked into the draw...

I'm closer to falling off the grid than making it any further as a Rangers fan, this team is gonna lead to me living in a shed in the woods, the misery they create and the haters who feed on it make it impossible to live with

I can't entertain the idea yet of imagining losing tomorrow and starting the thought process of doing this all over again.

my brain just isn't wired for it. losing tomorrow isn't an option. we will be looking at a game 6 sunday in washington.

I can't even fathom the thought of another summer with more changes, going through another whole season hoping just to get back to this point.

The whole thought process is making me sick

- jimbro83

You have been a fan, for awhile, you should be used to this by now.

I am trying to stay positive but would you be ok with this team staying as is after getting eliminated way before they were expected to?

St. Louis will turn 40 this summer and looks to be about all but done. I'll take my chances on a clutch playoff performer six years St. Louis' junior.

And should the game be won tomorrow, then you know what else can't happen...losing three in a row on the road, best road team in hockey. Now way does that happen!! Then you know what happens after that right??? The Rangers (as you know) have never lost a Game 7 on home ice!!!

I'm back in baby!!! Lets go!

Last night's pathetic effort really took a lot of wind out of my sails.

Im with you. Why discuss the off-season when we are going to be in the ECF come next weekend? Seems silly.

I wouldn't re-sign MSL, but i'd pass on both. Williams will be highly sought after and will garner a hefty, as in term, contract.

I really still believe they will come out tomorrow and win. That's about all I'm confident in. Win the series??? Can't even get my head around that thought....yet.

Give him a 2 year deal and I'm OK with bringing him on. The problem is that he will be looking for long term. Don't want Sather to bite. Just sniff.

You're likely right about Williams and I am obviously not thinking with a clear and level head.

If you could get him on a 2-3 year deal, that would be amazing. But he will probably get 6/6.

How can a Flyers fan possibly talk trash to a team that actually made the playoffs; let alone won their division and had the best record during the regular season?

Slow day discussing Flyers at the World Championships or how your poor prospect pool is looking lately, huh?

Seriously though....I would strongly consider trading Rick Nash at this point. His ineffectiveness has cost you probably a cup and this years early exit, IMO

I feel like given his recent contract and his production from this year MSL likely looks at $3.5-4 mil base + incentives

he won't get that here. even if they wanted to, they have no way to give him that.

No, just pointing out how silly you look trying to clown us when the team you root for was an absolute joke this season.

Honestly the linchpin in all of this is probably Zuccarellos health.

If over the course of the next two months, Zucs doesnt progress from what is rumored to be a really nasty concussion, I would be dollars to donuts MSL is brought back to fill that void and they LTIR Zucs until they figure out what to do when he is healthy enough to return

wow, just wow, i'm 19 yo and from belgium which isn't a hockey country at all, and i am even a more 'diehard' fan than most on here seem now, this team has been playing great al season, even now, 2 different bounces and we are ahead 3-1, this rangers team is one of the best in the league, please show some respect to the team you all love instead of selling them short when they aren't even out of it yet, they only need one bounce, then they will start believing again, once they do that i'm sorry but the caps don't stand a chance, LGR!
