If they're babies about what happened, they can go play elsewhere and Murray will be the one able to send them packing.
It's just a game, anyone still on the roster with a contract will see what the outcome of all the crap over the past 2 seasons will yield, and they'll benefit from it. - stashu
If those babies were any good, the team would have had more wins and not in 30th. THe spoiled brats should worry about if this could be their last NHL contract. |

Well, yeah, there's always that too - but accountability for your own actions falls waaaayyyyyy below blaming someone else for your failures. Get with it old man! |

No name calling. And you’re not being clever if you say “any moron knows” or “only an idiot doesn’t understand.” You’re being disrespectful. Talk more about hockey and less about each other. Although playful banter is allowed, that does not mean anything goes, if the banter breaks any part of the code of conduct, it isn’t playful and it is not acceptable. When “Player X stinks" turns into "You stink" you've crossed the line. And yes, the Moderators decide where the line is. "

Going by this: http://www.generalfanager.com/teams/4 ?
I'd say 6, with a few that I'd like to keep, but not necessarily "Must" keeps |

better question..being based in reality and all.where did that quote come from in your profile?? - stashu
It was a classic when I said I would give up a ton for Crosby. A certain poster said he could name 10-15 players who played a better game than Crosby. It was a great day. |

As much as I think Babcock would do great here, he does coach the Canadian team often, so I wonder if Edmonton can lure him in (now that they have #1 overall). Before that, I don't think they stood a chance. My issue is how Edmonton is being run and their ability to sign free agents and the amount of players that won't waive no-trade clause to play there.
On the other hand, Buffalo does have quite the prospects, draft picks this year and he does have a (good?) relationship with T Murray, so I would say it is down to those two teams. As weird as it may sound, I do think the Sabres are closer to making the playoffs than the Oilers, so we will see how it shakes out. |

With the veterans upset with GMTM about the way he handled the roster (aka tanking).... I wonder if T Pegs might consider offering Babock with a full team control option. Players wanted to win while GMTM wanted the top draft pick. I wonder how many players are behind GMTM. Just random thoughts. Shall be an interesting offseason. - BFLOSABRES09
I've had a few conversations with Gionta's brother, Joe about this. He knew what he was signing up for in Buffalo. Expected to lose but not this bad. Actually knew about a week before he signed that he was going to come to Buffalo. |

I am 100% sure Murray wants a coach in place before the draft. He should want him to be a part of the drafting process. He may not have been the same with Nolan, knowing the players that he drafted would not suit up for him anyway. |

No one wants to tank that bad, but it was for the better of the franchise and if an aging player can't see that, he can retire or play else where. I don't mind him, but he should get what is going on, especially since the top 2 are such future stars. He should now be happy to play with one of them.

Look at the competition to get to the bottom. 30th pick to 25th pick is only a handful of wins. |

Yes I know. I am not sure what you are saying here. Since he did not know the Sabres would be "that bad", did he think that we would finish 25th? Would that be a moral victory for the players or something? I get no one wants to be last, I know I would not, but it should have been obvious where we were in the rebuilding process, especially considering all the things Murray was saying at the draft last year.... "give me 2 drafts and we are on our way up." |
