Sad to see you go Colin
You were the first person I saw who put regular and frequent blogs up on this site (Flames blogs) and the reason why I decided to finally make some comments instead of ghosting the comments section.
Some advice for having a kid, if they cry just remember to give them a little shake to quiet them up...
That's a joke by the way. |

If Bouma works back into the lineup tonight I would bet good money Kesler tries to fight him |

Do you really think there is any chance a fight will be permitted in the NHL play-offs? Every possible attempt has been made to ensure that fighting isn't going to find its way into the games this year. The only way punches have been allowed to be thrown have been while Players have been tied up by linesmen, or during battles along the boards to unsuspecting players who are trying to play the puck (see Bieksa/Ferland). Anytime there has been the slightest inkling that 2 players might consentually drop the gloves, the officials have swarmed in to prevent any such thing from happening.
The NHL has been transforming into soccer on ice as of late. Half of the Canucks players, and a few Ducks players are superlative "head-snapper-backers" and "drop-to-the-ice-like-I've-been-shot" performers; it's brutal. Forget adding Analytics specialists to the coaching staff. Next season we better have a gymnastics coach to teach players how to do a triple axle dive roll at the slightest tug from opposing players' sticks.
Matt Stajan actually embellished the hook he received last game and got the call, so why not? If that's what is required to win, they've got to learn how.
Just leave the Hanson brother antics for the movies. Fans aren't interested in fighting anymore, and it doesn't have a place in the game: Gary Betman says so! |

The guy should go to the Olympics and do some diving if he ever wants to win gold... Oh Snap!
I did read your last post, I just thought ok as the response was comical. That's a chick response. I wholeheartedly agree. |

Thanks for the kind words everyone!! I will really miss writing here...it is very rewarding when you have the time to dedicate to it.
ugh...how do you reply in quotes like before?
anyway
good luck with the kid, it's an amazing experience (my little guy just turned 1)
Thanks for your hard work and great insight. I hope you can still enjoy being passionate about hockey and the team, especially without pressures of juggling your writing and your personal life!

Good luck Colin .
Now, if the Flames fans could start campaigning to have Matt Henderson blog for them that would be great.and here is why?
- the Flames posters, in General ,are actually smarter than Hendo. It will be nice change of pace for them.there are a few exceptions I would gladly name if you want .
- he blogs often.
- plenty in common with you jabronis, like zero hockey knowledge, for starters.
- Like Marc Giordano, Hendo is past his prime.
Ok, so I have nothing good to say about Hendo, I just want you guys to suffer. - Jeropotato

Good luck Mr. Dambrauskas.
You are a gifted blogger and although you displayed the tendency to take the occasional cheap shot I felt it was always in good fun.
I know you're just "getting out" before the Oilers dominate... I kid, I kid.
All the best.
Go Oilers! |

While us Hawks fans are "getting ready" for Anaheim, someone forget to tell this Calgary team.
What a fearless bunch of kids over there. May not win tonight, this series or this year, but there some moxie on this team that will one day pay dividends.
Calgary will skate the Cup within the next 3 years I think. What an incredibly gutsy hockey team.
I honestly don't know if I'd rather play you than Anaheim. The Flame deserve respect. |
