anything to make the game exciting eh stripes?
there is always a convenient PP at the end of every game - Lee Denault
Unless they're 100% sure it should never be a penalty. Especially with all this on the line |

I don't think it's the team changing the strategy as much as it is the opponent elevating their intensity level a few notches. People forget the other team is also full of professional hockey players trying to win. - rangerdanger94
they went from a 2-1-2 low to a 2-1-2 high to a 1-4
they started playing the trap and it burnt them almost. |

That second goal (kuznetsov) told me the Rangers figured the caps would pack it in. 3 guys literally left all alone in the low slot? I don't think I've ever seen that happen |

Looked like a bit of each from my perspective.
Obviously the Caps turned it up a couple of notches, but the Rangers seemed to change a bit of their fore checking approach once it was 4 - 1. |

they went into the NHL's version of prevent defense, which essentially means collapse in your own zone and let the other team back into the game. holy balls do i hate that. |

Nash goal was monstrous too
Boyle really needs people off his ass now tho I agree. 2 huge goals in one series has to give him some credit |

Good luck in game 7, guys ... the Rangers deserve this series. They've outplayed the Caps at least 80% of the time. |

About time Nash got rewarded. Works hard all over the ice, even on the pk and just stuck with it. Good to see him score a big time goal |

That was a confident goal by Nash. I know we got Boyle for the PP, not for his D, but... |
