I missed this, fn great! Bo sent me a PM asking his full screen name & what was up that day w him. So glad I could be of help. So he can read this now but has NO ability to post in any way.

How do I get his PM's deleted from my inbox, do you know? I never read them and I'm not going to. One little man's lunacy.

One Ranger said that the two referees thought that the puck hit the glass but one of the linesmen “insisted 100%” that the puck went over the glass without touching anything. The refs went with what the linesman said and called the penalty. (Daily News)

Refs are human, its a tough call sometimes. Glad nothing happened because of that call. Also happy that will be a coaches challenge next year.

Not sure I can blame the refs for listening to their linesmen when they were unsure, but with that type of call, which can often be very difficult for the refs to make, you need to provide some type of safety net when they really didn't get a good look.

That could have been game changing last night, and that's not good.

That's the part that freaked me out. Everyone should have been on the same boat regarding that call.

Trust me Pete, if they scored I would be singing a different tune. None of that ref's are human, blah blah....

always a double standard in the games ...out of all major sports NHL officiating
still has a Ringlin Bro Barnum & bailey feel to it ...
"How they pander to the home ice advantage maybe 55-45%.(except @MSG)
Most important they buy in to a game style & allow the team liberites from that point..I E if Caps are known for physicality & crashing the net ... refs give more
slack when Caps use that grinding & it gets them more tolerence .
The constant falling into Hank by Ward is growing not shrinking 3rd goal was exactly that for Caps... 1st & 2nd goal was a ping pong goal for a chumera swat...
the only attack they have is too jam it up and hang on & find a deflect or scramble, how much lattitude the refs give is scary for gm 7...we will see

If there is one thing I can say about the Rangers, is that the casual fan gets their' monies worth. 572 straight one goal games in the playoffs, usually with a mad scramble at the leading team's net with under 2 minutes to go. Great for the casual fan, but God, it's exhausting. Fun, but exhausting.

I would like a game where I could fall asleep about a 1/2 hour after the game. Not this constant feeling after these games that I just snorted a kilo of coke and drank a case of red bull and i'm jacked up for the next 3 hours.

Honestly I don't want that. That would mean they probably lost lol. After any win now whether its 1 goal or 5, we are jacked up

I don't know, if that would have stayed 4-1 I probably would have been ok. I didn't fall asleep till (frank)ing 2:00 last night.

And you know that Game 7 is going to be another heart attack. I think it will be yet another toss up type game. Maybe the Rangers have the slight advantage by being at home, but I am not overly confident to be honest. See another 50/50 type game, which will be decided late.

Now we have almost 3 days to hear how lucky NYR was to win and how much the Caps outplayed NYR.

I AM sick of the dreaded defensive shell we go into in the third, but it was the same way for the Caps and every other team w/ a one goal lead in the third! It just seems like the pundints only bring it up when it happens to NYR.

At least the KIng and McD can get some rest

That's the thing. The Rangers are on nice run of elimination games at home. Can that continue forever? All streaks eventually end. Hopefully this one doesn't for a few more years lol

Who cares what anyone says? The Rangers dominated the first. The caps carried play in the second. And then the Rangers took a 3 goal lead before unwisely falling back into a shell. It's a hockey game. The desperate team was pushing in the third.

At the end of the day, the Rangers went in to the Caps building, facing elimination, and won!! That is all that matters, and its damn impressive. Now they just have to finish it.
