Kuznetsov publicly stating Holtby is better than Lundqvist which is why they will Game 7. There are not enough memes to capture the asinine nature of this statement. - MidnightMarauder
I give Ovi a pass, I think he is just trying to get the team up after a big loss in game 6. As for some of the other comments, I have to believe Trotz is thinking, shut the (frank) up. |

If Toews made that statement people would be calling him a great leader. |

I don't know if Ovi is a great leader, but he has earned the right to talk a little poop.
Speaking of which, I know the overall defense of the Rangers has been great, but how (frank)ing good is Staal in the playoffs. Probably our best defenseman now for 2 years in a row in the playoffs. |

Toews has a better resume of leading his teams to victory more than Ovechkin.
Messier, with already five Stanley Cups on his resume, called his shot and made it count. But, without the prior resume, Messier's claim would have been laughed at before Game Six went down.
Ovechkin hasn't won anything, aside from a World Championships, since he has turned pro. I get why he did it but he is going to have serious egg on his face if they lose Wednesday. |

I know he was the #12 pick in the 2005 draft and that NYR got it from San Jose via Atlanta. Someone knows the story behind this ...? |

Pierre McGuire asking if it was time to consider removing Holtby when it was 4-1 with more than 15min to play?
That guy is worthless. |

I believe since the 2007, the only player drafted who has scored more playoff goals than Kreider is Patrick Kane.
Both Kreider and Doughty have 16 goals in the playoffs.
Kane has an unreal 44 of them, doesn't turn 26 until November.
That's where his big contract comes from, Patrick Kane is MONEY in the playoffs yo.

I think this is exactly what he's doing given the failures in Game 7's (Isles series notwithstanding). I don't think it means anything unless the Caps win and Ovie scores, in which case we will be hearing about the "guarantee" endlessly (it's like those guys who tell you they called the big first round upset in the NCAA basketball tourney, ignoring the fact that they missed on 10 of the other upset picks). |

I hate McGuire, but I have to be honest and say that I sort of had the same thought about Holtby - at 4-1 down, I thought the Caps were looking at a 6-1 loss. The fact that the Caps responded so well gives me some hope for Wednesday. |

Yup. I have no issue with what Ovi was saying. He's a character and people either love it or hate it. I happen to really like the guy, but not enough that he scores any goals in game 7. |

It is gonna blow up in his face if they lose tho. He'll be the ultimate goat in that case. You make that kinda of statement you better back it up. Messiers legacy woulda been tarnished also, but he also had resume 100 times longer then ovechkin does to say something like that. If I were at a cap fan id appreciate it if all the players shut the eff up. Just my opinion |

How many playoff series have you won since 1993. Rangers have won something like 18 since your last series win. Get a clue - Blueshirts4ever
Right because they have won them all means there is no chance for them to lose one now, ok. And I am sorry but I do not put a lot into just playoff series wins. What I mean by that is win it all or nothing. YEs the rangers played great last year and over the past but what will you consider a success this year? Getting to the finals? While that does speak to a great season the ultimate goal is to win the cup. If the Rangers happen to lose to Washington (not saying that I think they will) would you say they had a successful season? Presidents trophy is certainly more than an isles fan could hope for but not what A Rangers fan is shooting for. So I am not really sure what the Rangers success in the past or islanders lack there of has anything to do with the Rangers chances of winning A game 7. My comment was not intended to piss you off but apparently it did so sorry.

Man you guys are all touchy, not trolling just stating a fact. I hope they do put them away, the Rangers are the better team. |
