Really? An Islander troll, now? We'll finish off what you couldn't.

Man you guys are all touchy, not trolling just stating a fact. I hope they do put them away, the Rangers are the better team.

Don't worry about it Ogi. People get sensitive on this board right after games because thats when the trolls start rolling in. Its all good.

Your point is well taking. Past is the Past

The only thing the past does is give NYR a little confidence that since they've done it in the past then they can do it now..thats all!

It is gonna blow up in his face if they lose tho. He'll be the ultimate goat in that case. You make that kinda of statement you better back it up. Messiers legacy woulda been tarnished also, but he also had resume 100 times longer then ovechkin does to say something like that. If I were at a cap fan id appreciate it if all the players shut the eff up. Just my opinion
- Slimtj100

Fair or not, he's already viewed as a playoff underachiever, I don't think the "guarantee" impacts it either way. I do wish they wouldn't say anything, though, and just show up at the start of the game on Wednesday and let their performance do the talking. The following is completely obvious and all fans of all teams say the same thing, but I do think it's critical for the Caps to get the 1st goal Wednesday. I don't think they can count on mounting a comeback against this team and this goaltender in a Game 7 at MSG.

Right because they have won them all means there is no chance for them to lose one now, ok. And I am sorry but I do not put a lot into just playoff series wins. What I mean by that is win it all or nothing. YEs the rangers played great last year and over the past but what will you consider a success this year? Getting to the finals? While that does speak to a great season the ultimate goal is to win the cup. If the Rangers happen to lose to Washington (not saying that I think they will) would you say they had a successful season? Presidents trophy is certainly more than an isles fan could hope for but not what A Rangers fan is shooting for. So I am not really sure what the Rangers success in the past or islanders lack there of has anything to do with the Rangers chances of winning A game 7. My comment was not intended to piss you off but apparently it did so sorry.
- Oglethorpe72

We all will be bitterly disappointed if the don't win the cup. When opposing fans state the obvious it really is annoying, so forgive the touchiness

My bad, I should have known better. Obviously I am not a Rangers fan but can recognize talent and like it or not your team has a lot of it! I do however have a seVer dislike for OV. He is a boarding machine would like to see one of the Rangers lay him on his ass again!

First goal is probably the biggest moment of the series Wednesday. I think the Rangers finally have confidence vs holtby which didn't happen till kreider and mcdonagh goals in game 5. He is human. Yet he still made unreal saves last night

A lot of the cap players have been getting away with it. Not so much this series, other then the Boyle play in game 1. Last night I kinda felt it wasn't that nasty on mcdonagh, he turned when he probably shouldn't have. Vs the isles Wilson did it every shift it felt like

The only thing last night proved to me is I won't be able to open my eyes until there are triple zeros showing on the clock. It doesn't matter if the Rangers are up 7 zip. No lead is safe, at all, ever.

Those 2 saves on Moore were nuts. The save Hank made when he caught the puck with his waffle board hand was incredible too. Trotz said it best when he said this was probably the best head to head goalie matchup he has ever seen.

Holtby did make some big saves, the Caps really exposed him a lot in the first period (though, with all credit to Kreider, Holtby has to make the save on that first goal).

The caps players come in so fast, and shoot the puck so heavily I expect every one to go in. I don't understand how Hank can make these saves.

I really hope the refs just let them play game 7, unless its a blatant penalty. I have actually thought the ref's have not been bad at all this series. They have made some mistakes but overall they haven't been bad.

Yeah the McDonagh hit was perfectly clean. Thats what happens when you get hit by 240lbs of steel at 25 mph.

haha, everytime Ovi has the puck in the offensive zone, i'm thinking please pass, please pass. I get a little sick everytime he takes that shot.

Kuznetsov and Burakovsky look like they are going to be great - can't imagine the young forward talent on this team had that moron McPhee not traded Forsberg to Nashville for Martin Erat I guess he does get credit for drafting the other guys, though.

The Rangers might have made a mistake trade to in the Yandle for Duclair plus move. The jury is still out on that. Yandle still has a chance to prove himself.

I met George McPhee as a youngster in NYC in a function at City Hall when I was with my junior high school band. McPhee was there representing the Rangers, Bryan Trottier represented the Islanders.

I got to tell McPhee he was my favorite player on the team. He told me "If you ever make the NHL, don't be a fighter" Very seriously too.

Good comparison. If Forsberg keeps developing like he has those 2 trades will be 1A and 1B for most lopsided trades in recent history.

Dude anytime the Caps carry the puck into the offensive zone, I freak out. I hate the blueline with a passion. It holds so much power over me. Just get the puck the frank cross it. I swear its like the gate to hell. Nothing can get past it.

Sather will likely deal Yandle for a better package than he dealt him for

Yeah, not impressed with Yandle so far, but all it takes is one goal in a big spot (Glencross has done very little for the Caps, but he was almost the hero of Game 5 if Kreider hadn't scored late).
