Considering its been McDavid and Eichel as the consensus 1 and 2 all year by a long shot and everyone and their grandmother knows McDavid is going to be drafted #1 and hopefully Murray has come to his senses and realized the amount to move up 1 spot is not worth it its pretty probable a conversation has been had about it.

I don't know. Maybe it's just me. I just don't think these types of conversations should be going on between players and teams prior to the team actually announcing the pick. I know that the assumption is that he's going to be here. And it's like 99% likely to happen. I guess it just seems like bad juju to talk about things like leaving school right now.

Yes, Buffalo39, who broke the Kane/Myers trade and the Tallinder trade before said it on here at like 9 am yesterday. Said it's 95% done and to expect something on Monday.

He also said that Eichel has already told Buffalo he won't be returning to school (though that doesn't sit well with me considering he hasn't even been drafted yet).

Yeah, I questioned that, and didn't receive a response. Why would he be talking to Buffalo?

They already met for hours, and probably went over most of the main details. I wouldn't be concern in today's day and age about finalizing a contract with someone half way around the world.

Would have to come together really quick and it would mean that Buffalo was his first choice all along (which would be awesome if this really happens by Monday).

There was the 5 or 6 hours in Buffalo, the car ride to the airport, the plane ride to Detroit etc. My guess is if you get Mrs. Babcock's approval you're golden. If what Buffalo39 said there are about 6 million reasons for her approval.

I honestly don't think there are as many teams as people believe. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just Detriot, Buffalo and Toronto. Staying pat, or taking the money from the two big clubs that can offer him the most money.

I think that's a forgone conclusion at this point, so that doesn't bother me at all.
