My hope would be a package with Grigorenko being a big piece, but I doubt that's likely, even if we included a 1st

He's been scratched, but when he's in the lineup it's been mostly at wing on the 3rd or 4th line.

Was with my inside guy today,he said the Sabres believe Babcock will be there coach. Eichel definetly not going to college. I hope Eichel and Babcock coming to buffalo makes murray stop from ruining this franchise. ,as of 10 days ago murray will do anything to get mcdavid, mcdavid is not 125 point guy and Eichel a 60 pt guy. Mcdavid is not worth what you will have to give up

I don't know.....reading this the way you wrote this sounds like things are a lot less than the 95% done that was mentioned yesterday. 95% sounds like they know he is going to be their coach and all they need is a signature to make it official. "Believe" he will be their coach sounds like more of a hope than anything else. Not as hopeful as I was yesterday for sure.

I'd fill my pants if we traded for him. Thinking that he's available for anything less than a premium is ludicrous.

Overpaying for him for the chance to land him would be a very smart decision. He's like a fast Cody Hodgson but can actually score.

I'll say one thing.. the Tampa Bay Lightning would be (frank)ing morons to trade this kid.If Drouin for whatever dumb reason demands a trade, then I think Murray would drive 10000mph at the opportunity to trade for him.

I said the day after the draft that Murray and Pegula want McDavid and will try to get him, that's what I was told. I don't know how good of an idea that is, might cost this team to much and set us back IMO.

I don't doubt that's a possibility in Murray's head. I do doubt it happens though. Just from an actual GM perspective and not necessarily a fan perspective.. The Oilers say it's less than 0% they give up the pick. That means the Sabres will have to wildly overpay for that kid. This will set the franchise back years. We don't have veteran assets to trade anymore. We can't refill our top young talent, which will be the cost of moving up one (frank)ing spot. Murray wants that short rebuild? Tough (frank)ing tats, ain't gonna happen if you dismantle for #1.
