Everything has been addressed I pointed out to you multiple times where you were wrong. Even another poster did. Man you're shot

you live in a fantasy land.

you haven't addressed the point.

you just can't handle it.

Well you may be wrong there;

Lots of credit to the Caps for playing their tails off. Keep your heads up, as this team has earned respect all around the league and I believe, has completely turned the page from Caps teams of the past. You have a really good core, an elite goaltender, a top-notch coaching staff, and the best player in the league. This season you gained the experience needed to take it to the next level. I'm a firm believer that you have to have your heart broken before you can get over that hump - and I'm not talking about the fans, I'm talking about the players. This group can now check that box and build off of it. Hockey is crazy as we all know and sometimes it just isn't fair to have played so well and still come up short. I believe this Caps team will have several more chances to go beyond where this team finished. Thanks for a great series and thanks for being a classy, knowledgeable, fan base.

Proud? You were primed for a 3rd round entrance & your team once again set a new nhl record for losing 3-1 deficits against a bitter playoff rival.. suck it all up & come out next year banging. None of this proud crap, i would be devastated today if we lost game 7 when we could've closed the series out in 5 or 6..
- discojaws

It is obviously devastating to lose this series, but I don't lump this in with most of the other failures (most notably the choke against a mediocre Habs team in 2010). The brutal part is that they were 1 minute and 40 seconds away from winning in five, but the only point in the series where I had a "same old Caps" feeling was early in the 3rd period of Game 6 when they went down 4-1. Even then they had a fantastic response, one that you didn't often see in past Caps teams (especially this era of Caps teams).

smoke & mirrors, man.. What do you expect him to say when he's crying into his glove? Same with Ovechkin, he deserves zero scrutiny for making his GAURANTEE, it's just what leaders do. NO REGRATS

I don't want to rain on ur parade, but as a fan, I would be livid that my team blew a 3-1 series lead, no matter what... Its hard enough during the season to make PO's and even harder to advance.....

Disagree. Sometimes you don't need to run your mouth. Ovechkin for as great of a player as he is runs his mouth constantly and seems to have a real hard time backing his words up.

What the hell would you know about running your mouth constantly?

By the way, I swear, I can't even remember the original point you guys were arguing about.

I said it was devastating, and I totally agree about it being tough to make the playoffs, etc. This was about as clear of an opportunity to make, and possibly win in, the SCF as the Caps have maybe ever had (in '98, everyone knew that they were outclassed by the Wings going into the SCF, and in '90, the only other year that they made an ECF, they just weren't good enough to compete with the Bruins, not to mention potentially the Oilers in the SCF). Not saying they would have beaten Tampa and Chicago/Anaheim, but I'd like their chances against any of them (just as I like the Rangers chances).

I have to give you credit brother, anybody that picks a fight with you better be ready to go 15 rounds (and then continuing fighting into the locker room ... and then onto the street). And I mean that as a compliment.
