Mr. happy is. He wants to trade malkin for a couple of lapdogs. because they talk a lot or some other worthless attribute. - jfkst1
Not sure why someone can't call out Malkin? He was crap down the stretch. Lappy is a 4c who makes under a mil. Can't make a comparison obviously but 71 not performing is devastating to the team. |

This is RW's blog. If you go against the grain you are criticized.
RW throws out Etem who was scratched for Rene Bourque as a trade target. Next thing you know, everyone here thinks the Pens should move assets for. |

Right but there is no correlation between the two...so I dont understand the point. |

The correlation is they both stunk when it counted and criticism is well deserved by the entire roster. |

Argument:
Lapierre had 0 points in the playoffs.
Manlkin had 0 points in the playoffs.
Conclusion:
Same player. Malkin is overpaid. |

I have no problem calling him out for this years performance. But he's one of the best all time in the postseason and he was injured this year. Last year he was excellent. Rangers are advancing despite Nash being unproductive again. Why is that? Because they have a lot more depth than just a few players. |

They also haven't lose half of their blue line to injury. Take out McDonagh, Girardi, and Staal, and they're not still playing. |

Yeah, exactly. It ignores the massive body of work Malkin has because Mr Happy hates him and wants him gone. |

Absolutely. No team is going anywhere in the cap era missing 90+ minutes/game of players like Pittsburgh was. But you're logical and some of these "fans" are irrationally reactionary. |

You do have a problem though with him being called out. Look at your responses. |

Well first of all the team wasn't going anywhere with the injuries they had.
Secondly it was only a five game series and he was injured. And yes he went and played in an international tournament but he wasn't good to start that tournament either. It's preposterously stupid to base decisions on that. Especially when you're claiming lapdog was somehow good in that same series. |

You can call out his play if you want, it was bad. No doubt about it. But he was injured. Is that an excuse? Probably not, but it's true. His body of work overall is that of an elite player. |

Lappy at least ran his mouth and annoyed people, so he was the better player. And Malkin is just another lazy Russian who will only play for a contract. Get it right, gawd. |

Enter Don Cherry mode:
"Lapierre plays the game the right way, like a good Canadian boy. He skates hard every shift and gives it his all. Now, you take a guy like Evgeni Malkin. All the talent in the world, no heart." |

I guess it's a good thing then that my entire post was a fact list except the little bit at then end about finding cap space on the defensive side. Thank you for highlighting my post and pointing out the high fact content it contained. Do I have to be registered as long as you (2014) before I can start trolling? |
