imagine if they don't resign Vermette... then thats a first and a quality D prospect for nothing really - GloveHandStrong
They are not signing Vermette, they have to free up salary to resign Saad, Kruger and 4-5 D-men. |

not really thinking things in advance, is the problem. Now, they're already behind the 8 ball as concerns their management of assets going forward - Zogg
21 mil cap hit for 2 players will hurt. |

Teams with tons of cap space will be sitting pretty this off-season since the cap is projected to be around the same and so many teams are already up against it with spots to fill.
We could have been one of those teams without Miller + Sbisa |

And we could be one of those teams picking much higher if our owner wasn't such a wussy about missing the playoffs. |

After watching A a lot of Blackhawk games later in the year I have no idea how Teuvu Teravainin is seen as such an amazing prospect.
The guy is not that great.
Yet all these websites have him ranked as one of the best prospects.
- classic321
Because he is just that still a prospect. Lack of depth because they pay too much for a couple of players. |

just saw in an interview with Brent Burns after the gold medal win, says he loves playing with Hamuis.... wonder what it would take to convince SJS to trade him

Those trades haven't really worked out, but I don't blame them for going all in before Toew's and Kane's new contracts kick in. |

It's hard for young players to garner success in such an high intensity situation, though, so you have to take that with a grain of salt. From what I've seen of him in the regular season (and parts of the playoffs), he does look like a quality player. Just still has some growing pains to handle; however, you can see the raw skill level is there. - Zogg
From what I've seen, the kid looks like the real deal....not sure what buddy is talking about.... |

One more day here in Prague before I head home.
Today's blog features my thoughts on gold for Hamhuis and bronze for Bonino. Also, the Utica Comets can move on to the western conference final in the AHL playoffs tonight.
