If you would have kept reading instead of jumping to correct someone you would have seen that this has already been covered - sbroads24
Well I'm reading from where I left off prior to going to work.
And if you noticed I said the game was different back in 05/06.
Which means it wouldn't be out of the question that had Risto played at that time similar numbers are possible. |

There isn't one IMO.
At the same age they were very similar in their development.
On can't help when their parents fornicated nor which country.
Had Seabrook been a Euro it is quite possible he could have been in the NHL after getting drafted. Again not his fault there is a stupid transfer agreement. - dadeadhead
If we can find an offensive minded player yo pair with him, I think that our defense could be set. |

I give up.
I have never once said Kane wasn't good. - sbroads24
You also repeatedly talk him down and have not (to my knowledge) said he actually is 'good'. And I guess since you quoted me, you saw the part where I didn't say you said he wasn't good. I just don't understand how you can so blatantly blow your load over 2 guys (Myers; Risto) while at the same time be so prude toward 2 others (Bogo; Kane) when really none of them have shown they are a superstar or any more valuable than the other on any team they have played on so far in their careers. And we're talking guys who are all within 5 years age of each other and still have yet to hit their prime.

Taco Bell, Just recieved a call. The sabres believe they are getting Babcock, it all depends on Babcock what he wants. The sabres gave him a great offer and believe it is down to them and red wings. They believe he wants a new challenge and from there meetings they think they will get him, time will tell - Buffalo39
So the Toronto Star's source and his leanings about staying in Detroit with a short term contract, hmmm |

Ristolainen is one of the better up and coming defensemen in the NHL. It's not just me that thinks this.
Also, my entire issue with Kane was
A. His injuries
B. His attitude
C. He has been very off his game for 2 years.
Like I have repeatedly said, we didn't get a consistent PPG player like Taylor Hall or Rick Nash. We got a high risk high reward player, and are treating him like he's coming off a 40 goal season. |

We also gave away a high risk, high reward player to get him and are treating him like he won the Norris a few times and put up 60-point seasons every year.
Also, this whole myth about Kane's "attitude" is getting old. Because of a couple of pictures and some sweat pants? I honestly think that since he came into the league his attitude has been pretty good.
FFS Ryan Miller was a head-case POS who constantly deflected blame and called out players for getting hurt (something about Connelly responding like a "frail, little child") all the while not once making eye contact with anyone except his googly-eyed girlfriend whenever she decided to hop off of Charlie Sheen's penis.

Ech. But who else is there? I didn't want McLellan or Bylsma and wtf is his name that Philly hired. Didn't Ek have philly at like 30 or 40% landing Babcock? Pssh, I doubt it was even 1%. |

Fits in with what Vogl said.

Sabres are confident they've done all they can to land Mike Babcock and hope it's enough. League source says his family still has most say. |

I missed where we traded Myers straight up for Kane. Because, like it said 100 times, that wouldn't have bothered me
But, Lemiuex +Armia+1st+Stafford>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bogosian - sbroads24
Hate to break it to you, but that's pretty much exactly what we did. But either way, 2 prospects, a 1st and an UFA who had no place on this team moving forward was a fair price for either Kane or Bogo, and Myers is pretty much equal to 2 prospects, an UFA and a 1st so look at it how you will but it is very asinine to say you would rather have 2 players who wouldn't sniff this roster next year, a 1st round pick who wouldn't sniff this roster for 3+ more years and a pushing 30 UFA to negotiate with who might decide to put up 20 goals again at some point in his career instead of a 24 year old top-4 (minimum top-6) defenseman who calls Buffalo his second home. |

North Dakota where Haskstol came from and is now the Flyers coach has had a great college program for years. May not be a bad hire at all just because he wasn't a big name in the media. |

How often has an NCAA coach been successful in the NHL? Serious question because I have no clue.
But idk. Philly's been a mess the past few years and once their D prospects are making an impact, their O will be aging. That team needs to figure it out soon. |

I have no energy left for Myers/Kane debates. I like Kane, I wanted us to trade for him. I just didn't want to trade what we did. |

Fair enough. I can agree with you to a certain extent. I didn't like Myers at all, actually but I would have preferred to keep him for another season before that NMC kicked in.
