Problem is, how to we get faster, more physical, and more skill without draft picks? The type of players we need you either draft or get in UFA. UFA is not strong this year, and we have too many NTC's that we can't get rid of for draft picks.

They want to develop them in Utica. So why are Virtanen, McCann and Hutton bench warmers? They prefer to play career AHL 30 year olds? Based on that alone do you think they would get a legitimate shot with WD? Not a chance.

Sounds like an awesome visit to a beautiful city Carol, I hope we (my wife & I) get the chance one day to visit.

Excellent for young players suck as Hall, Eberle and Eakins to experience what it's like to be a winner at the professional level. I think I heard Mike Smith say in an interview it's nice to play in front of a good team that can actually score goals

Sorry pops but this is wrong on a few levels, they're not trying to develop Jake, Jared and Ben in the playoff run, they're trying to win a Championship with the he kids that have played there all year. Jensen, Shinkaruk, Gaunce, Grenier, Markstrom, Corrado, Baertschi, Clendening etc.

All of those kids are 23 years of age or younger, except Markstrom, they're the ones who've earned the right to play. Sticking in Virtanen and McCann creates a sense of entitlement, they're 18 years old, they've got plenty of time to EARN their playing time just like Bo did this year.

I guess, but it seems like plenty of other AHL teams do it all the time. Hell, Calgary played Sam "18 Year Old "Bennett straight in the NHL playoffs after he barely played all season and that experience was probably great for his development and I doubt he's going to take the summer off now knowing he's a 99% lock to take the team next year.

Ya it's sounds/reads like they're in for relocation, which is poopty as my wife and I are in the process of making an offer on a place down there.
