Sven clendening and corrado make it. If corrado doesn't he will be traded. Cassell will get a look at 4lc because he had a great year and is cheap. Just depends what Ritchie wants really. Mathias is surely gone I think kassian gets packaged with bieksa and sent to Phoenix or somewhere bieksa low salary and high cap hit work well for a 2nd and 3rd rounder

I'm sorry but there is no way Cassells is considered for 4LC this coming season. I know he's the flavor of the day but he'll start in the AHL.....

I hear what many are saying-- He's 20 playing against mostly 18 year olds. It's easy to jump the gun and get excited.

It's all about what he brings to camp.

Which most have have seen so far, a great ability to take a faceoff. Put up points, helped shutdown the best player in the OHL. A physical presence. That sounds better then most if not all of canucks prospects.

there is a huge difference in the type of game they play. Tons of players score in the chl. Not many are regarded as shutdown centers.

This is a first round exit team because van has the weakest top 6 in the league. Including the oilers.

For a bottom 6 center role I'd agree. At least give him a long look.

Exactly. And it appears that many are missing the boat on what the Canucks are trying to do.

They are trying to develop players in a winning environment where they are set up to win. Horvat was an exception to the rule. Forcing a youngster into the Canucks lineup is just setting them up for failure.

JB is trying to get rid of the entitlement..

Russians are getting ripped on Twitter for leaving the ice during the Canadian ceremonies. Sanctions may be held against them.

Did I miss them shaking hands? was thinking of that as they left the ice, but not sure if it happened and wasn't shown, just missed it or didn't happen?

Nobody is forcing a rookie into the line up. If they aren't ready they will go back. You can find a vet anywhere.

I think that having a father that played and knows what it takes, and traing with Dorsett this summer will be a huge advantage. I am not saying he will make it but I think he has a better chance than Virtanen or McCann

Funny thing about Dane fox is he was always about a ppg player until his 20 year old when he exploded.

Virtanen and McCann don't fit into a 4th line role, Cassels on the other hand might.

Could be possible that McCann gets his 9 games because Cassels can go play top minutes in the AHL. Then McCann sent down and cassels a call up. Or they give it to vey and we are drafting Auston Matthews.

Then why are you pencilling Cassels in as 4LC? He is not Good enough nor ready....

I think the Canucks 4 LC is an open spot this year. I don't think they will re-sign Richardson.

I am not sure Vey would fill that role even though Jason Botchford is pushing Vey to be a defensive type Center instead of Offensive. We would need to fill it by trade , UFA which is a bad group, existing Comet which is possible or a surprise by Cassels.

Let's wait and see.
