Luca Sbisa for a 2012 game worn Chad LaRose jock strap.
- Nucker101

It's awfully hard to come to terms with the thought of losing that jock strap, but your offer will be taken into consideration...decisions, decisions...

What he's also concerned about is public perception.
- VanHockeyGuy

Public perception of what?

He should be concerned about the public perception of his teams softness.

Carol it's Carter Banks not Conner honey Was At The Comets game last night and saw the debut of the new kid Jake Virtanen and loved what I seen. The kid was thrown some great checks putting guys on their ass looking forward to tomorrow night!
- Rallen621

That's pretty disrespectful imo. Take your condescending attitude to the Leafs thread.

At least someone has something good to say about him after last night.

The kid is 18 years old playing against men and didn't look out of place at all. All the tools are there and going to an NHL camp will help him immensely.

Was his first game. Different from being physically dominate to every other guy just as strong as you are. The highlights I thought showed some good potential.

Lots of adrenaline for sure.

The Sedins had said they like the youth in the lineup, it energized the vets a bit too, or something like that.

If he can show he's ready physically in the pre season, get in on the forecheck and throw some hits. I'd really like to see what he would do with the sedins for 9 games.

Did either of McDavid or bennetts teams win the ohl playoffs? Naa. Teams still win games not players.

Don't forget, some players are far better in the NHL than in the OHL(and other leagues) and vice versa. Skills don't always translate well to NHL. McDavid could always turn into Alexandre Daigle.

Normally I'd agree that sometimes the game dont translates but for first overall picks in the past century have all turned out to be pretty good. Scouting and developing has change a lot in the last 10 years.

Drafting hasn't been around for a century How has Edmonton's developing worked out for them with all their #1's? Nail Yakupov ring a bell?
