Does anybody else feel jealous about the Kucherov-Johnson-Palat line? one undrafted guy, one very late 2nd rounder, one 7th rounder, all signed by Tampa.
In 15 playoff games, 40 points and 21 goals. In the regular season, 200 points. - PT21
Hopefully guys like Lindblom, Taylor Leier, Martel & Cousins will pan out for the Flyers. |

He probably is. But he's still a fairly decent skater.
I just can't see him or Hextall embracing the traditional stay at home guy to the extent Holmgren did. I think the new model will be guys like Morin or Alt, who are fairly mobile in addition to being big. - Jsaquella
I think this guy wants nothing to do with the 3 musketeers Gudas, Grossman, Schenn. Really cant see this guy moving on from UND to waste his time on these guys. I think one guy stays (or another goes to LHV) |

All possible, and it wouldn't be a surprise. They might keep one of them around, but they really don't seem to fit what Hakstol did at UND-and what he seems to want to do with the Flyers. |

That's not just panning out. That's an upper echelon 1st line playing on the 2nd line and that too on ELCs and very late picks too.
In the meantime, Maroon may very likely get his name on the cup. And the other Patrick (Chung) hoists the Lombardi.
Incredible. |

Maybe they can ship one off to Columbus for Kirby Rychel |

I think you go BPA if Russel is off the board.
There are enough minutes to play Noel, Embiid and Towns/Okafor over the next couple years. You can trade one later. There are 29 other teams who would be interested in a young, talented big man who has developed - PhillySportsGuy
Understood; not a horrible night, all things considered
Be nice if they take a step forward this year -- I thought there were some good signs down the stretch, but it's hard to tell when you're out of contention so early

They won't be good next year, but they'll have a good deal of young talent that will be easy to get excited about
I'm sure they'll get off to a horrible start because they'll have a ton of new guys who have never played together |

That's the difference between college and the pros, though -- you can't just rescind the final years of the contracts of these guys. Somebody still has to take them if you don't want them
Yes, I absolutely believe you can trade at least one of them, but you can't just move money every single time a signing goes sour and your system doesn't fit -- remember, that was the downfall of Laviolette

Yeah, it hurts to watch. I just hope he wins his damned Cup, even if he gets carried there. |

Have we devolved so far in to the abyss that we are now complaining about losing Pat Maroon?

TBH, while it wasn't his fault, I wasn't sure he would get back out there after that first goal

Well, he really pissed off that coach who the Flyers fired like a month later after realizing that Calgary fired him for being a jackass. |

It never ends -- you've been here for years longer than I have. Don't know how some of you long-timers stand it, year after year
JFC. Patrick Maroon's been gone for years, played in the minors for years after he left. FFS

I highly highly doubt Laviolette asked for Luke Schenn in that trade. There's zero chance there was a conversation b/w him and Holmer. |

Somebody's gonna stroke out no matter who wins the Cup -- somebody's gonna lose their poop over Patrick Sharp or Patrick Maroon or Coburn/Carle or the just the fact that the Rags are champs
Does that cover it all? |

I agree with that, but I don't think Laviolette loved JVR, either
