That's the one thing we can all agree on: He should be better than what he has shown
I won't throw myself off a cliff if he's a set-and-forget defenseman. He can't help who he was traded for, or where he was drafted, and we all can acknowledge that
Maybe because Hakstol was a defensive defenseman, he can salvage something from him where he becomes a quiet, steady defender who can be trusted for 17-ish minutes a night
Yeah, I know. But I truly love the guy's size and willingness to compete, even as I hate his foot speed and instincts - AllInForFlyers
Luke's not a god awful player. And I think that's another thing most people can acknowledge. When an opponent is trying to rush up the boards on him, it's pretty safe to say that 90% of the time, luke is pasting them to the boards. That's one thing I'll go as far as saying he's great at. 2 big dudes in front of the net? You can trust that most of the time luke's gonna move them out of the way for mase to track the puck. He's slower than (frank)ing molasses like you said, and his positioning could be better. And we'd all love if he good just make a good (frank)ing first pass. I think his passing & speed are two of his biggest weaknesses.

Come tomorrow the Wings won't have a coach. Berube is just a phone call away. I would think he would be the logical choice. |

Any truth to the rumors that, after he left, he joined ISIS and burnt down 84 churches full of Christians, murdered and ate fetuses snatched from living mother's wombs, and made a nuclear strike against the moon? Or is that all beneath his level of tyranny? |

Apparently, the Flyers don't have a coach, we just ordered some nonsensical bum who knows nothing about hockey and named him coach as a gesture of kindness.
And he's apparently some horrible person who cares nothing for the feelings of anyone else in the world as long as he makes money. So yeah, we hired Bill Gates. |

ISIS does use social media as a major vehicle for recruiting. I suppose it's possible. |

If he thought the game as well as Grossmann does, or positioned himself as well, you'd never hear me say a word about him
He's just a half-second slow too often when he needs to be able to think the game faster, since he has slow feet
I do feel coaching can help that. But at the same time, I also feel repetitions help a guy like Schenn, so it's been alarming to me that he shows regression with as many games as he's played |

So after he was done stabbing our his former players' eyes, did he simply piss in them or pour buckets of AIDS into the empty sockets? |

NOT a gesture of kindness.... it was nepotism at it's finest.
HEXTALL hired HAKSTOL because they both sound like HEXTALL/ HAKSTOL
Some idiot on the sens board I think legit thought that's why hextall hired him...

Play the starter 82 games a season and make him put the lotion on the skin, or it gets the hose. |

Some here legit think that Hextall hired him because he coached his son. |

I feel like aliens have landed with this hire.
Not quite sure if its going to be some grade B near apocalyptic movie like Battle of Los Angeles or something of that ilk or something really great |

I've read the posts, but I refuse to believe that anyone truly believes that
I mean, seriously. You can have issues with Luuko's kid getting drafted or Brett Hextall on the Phantoms. I won't say a word if someone does
But Hakstol being some bizarre second-degree nepotism hire is so out there, I refuse to believe anyone truly believes that |

Time didn't permit for him to do any of the above. He crept out the back door in the cloak of darkness. |

When you've donated $1.5 billion dollars to vaccinate populations, provide mosquito nets, develop sanitation systems that can work in rural areas, and provide technology-based education in the U.S. and abroad, I'll stop wishing for the ignore button.

That surprises me a bit, in the regard that while public appearances can be misleading, Tim Murray strikes me as an absolute a-hole to work with -- Pat LaFontaine lasted all of 15 seconds with him, and he did Ted Nolan dirty, IMO |
