Dude your old man was probably wiping you off on some chicks basement window drapes in 1975. Your pretty much in a glass house right now. You honestly think Hamstool is gonna do a better job than Babcock? - leonwaldo420
again I ask you what have the sabres ever won? they are such an irrelevant franchise. the cleveleand of the nhl.
time will tell who does better between the 2. "babs" is very overrated. good coach not this messiah many portray him to be. Didn't see many teams lining up for his services did you?
As I said I hope he does go to buffalo. if those numbers are true very hard to turn that down. he will end up being a disappointment. that's ok you continue to slobber all over his babcock. |

good lord. what a delusional fan base. they will win nothing. much like they have done in their entire existence. - rinaldo

Just a thought. How do you think Gary, the Wirtz family, the Jacobs, MLSE and Ed Snider are going to feel when they realize that Pegula raised his tickets prices this year to qualify for revenue sharing, then he turns around and uses that money to overpay a coach so that it will cost the Flyers, Leafs Hawks etc more for a coach in the future.
Pegula may think he is smarter than the rest of the owners by doing this but Sabre fans may want to prepare themselves for a few more "No Goal" calls and some bad luck in the draft lottery or horrible schedules in the future.
Gary and the rest of his boys cant be happy about this - mantosh
maybe going forward teams will no longer go after the recycled established coach who will earn a nice check. they may now take a chance on someone else who wont command a big pay day. so if that is the case then him getting this deal could hurt coaches as well no?
now there will always be teams who want the high profile guy and will pay. |

its all good sabres fans. enjoy your moment. you deserve it after being down for what 40+ years? Maybe the luck of this downtrodden franchise will finally take a turn for the better. One day maybe they can win that ever elusive first Stanley cup. I wish you well. |

I think it's a smart decision by the Sabres to sign a veteran coach to mentor our younger players. In terms of years its kind of iffy but it could pay off if the chemistry meshes well, same goes with the amount of money that we would be giving him. I give props for taking a risk on a big move especially since Regier didn't make any for years. Its nice to see some change here. |

lol this poop for brains has nothing but the 40 year cup absence, same as his poopty team and he apparently has 2 elite players. Good job getting 7th overall with such great players. Enjoy your at least ten year playoff futility, your team is worse off than the Leafs, and that's absolutely hilarious. (frank)ing clown. |

Hammer dropped here folks, the troll has been sent back under his bridge. Let's up the level of discourse here a bit please. |

Personally, I think money really isn't that huge of an issue for babcock. I think that he really just wants to win. I mean, he's 52 years old, and while that's still considered "young" what is he gonna do with 6o million bucks? The this that will entice him is long term and winning. We can guarantee him long term, but it will be a few years till were winning anything monumental |

Me too. I'd probably give up Milwaukee's Best and start drinking Stella Artois.

Between that guy and wingz4life.. two guys in one day ruining credibility for two franchises' fans. Thanks for telling them to stfu. - TheSabresTaco
If it takes one fan on hockeybuzz to ruin an entire franchises fan base credibility due to stupid posts the entire Sabres fan base has had no credibility for some time now. Theres been some real winners on our thread over the last couple of years. |

Right, like the Islanders fans calling for your players to intentionally injure members of the Capitals team, saying it would constitute a major failure if they didn't.
Doesn't give license to make broad-based comments on you, does it? |

After Brooks Laich said it was the Capitals strategy to injure our defenseman and it was a good one its certainly warranted. Considering we finished that series with three defenseman missing from our top six I didnt need Laich to tell me anything it was pretty obvious it was theur plan. If you watched the series they took runs at every one of our d men. I for one was all for injuring their players. Do you just let them injure ours with no retaliation after they publicly say its a good strategy?
Besides, you are aware you just made my point right? |

I hear you. My point being(when referring to your retort about islander fans calling for Caps players to get injured)is it's not as horrible or outlandish as it sounds. I don't think there are too many fans who wouldn't have done the same. |

Why would Wing fans be concerned?? At least half of the fan base (if not more) want him to leave and have Blashill behind the bench |
