Use corsi , p/60 etc if you've never played the game of hockey at serious levels and want to compensate for it and seem smart. Not saying that statement applies to you in particular, but it's so brutal when these underlying stats come out yet somehow NHL coach after NHL coach seem to miss the point. Wow who knew hockeybuzz posters were smarter than NHL coaches.

of course it's part of the equation.. not the be all end all like some make it out to be.

Everyone knows that if you get the puck on his stick, he can do some beautiful stuff here and there. If he can round out his 2-way game, he'll be a really good player, because the offensive stuff comes naturally.

wow....it's wierd how so many good teams over the years haven't won..but the ducks in 07 don't count; maybe they were too good?

RC won a cup. the leafs have been garbage before and after. All the would have/could haves don't matter until it's proven he's bad and they were good.

wishlist:

1. Assistant Coach: Guy Boucher
2. GM: David Poile

3. Trade Dion (absolute priority!) (Couturier??)
4. Trade Lupul (2nd round pick?)
5. Keep Bozak (#2C) , Kessel, JVR, Gardiner.
6. Trade for John Gibson (Reimer ++).

6. Draft Marner @4, or Hanifin if he's not there anymore
7. Draft Sprong or Meloche @24.
8. Get a 2nd round pick to draft Matej Tomek.

2 years ago Kadri was dynamite on the pp. last year he played 2nd rate pp mins, barely even got a sniff early on. Hardly ever on with Kassel and jvr.

If you don't think he should be getting more pp, and more time with better player give you head a shake.

I wonder if O'Neill got his wish and is at the press conference after yesterday.

Watching games confirm that a bad possession team doesn't work... And that benching a guy like Kadri in favour of Bozak is one of the big reasons it doesn't work. And that maybe- just maybe- running with just one line might lead to a collapse over time.

What Oilers fan thinks the team is otherworldly? Most intelligent Oil fans I know think we a missing 2 top D men and a goalie, plus a little jam up front. We finished 28th...that's a (frank) of a long ways away from otherworldly.

like i said he got 180 mins on the PP. more than alot of very good NHL players. he was 8th on the team. that's not insignificant PP time.

would he be better than bozak? probably. do both players suck currently? yes.
