Second, I was makiing the kids' lunches this morning (about 7:30 am). Opened the fridge to get out some ingredients, and a 6-pack stared back at me.

If you are awake at 7:30, it is ok to drink at 7:30. It is only not ok to drink while driving and, I am sure there is another time but I can't think of it.

Phaneuf played in the WHL in 01-02 and Babcock's last season was 00-01. Dion was drafted in the WHL in 00 though.

He must of met Phaneuf through try outs and such.

Unless you are a 17 year old with limited time in your high school parking lot before the school dance, you really do not need beer higher than 5%.

Really? I don't see a person here that expects us to contend for years. What you see here is the unapologetic joy of bringing somebody to the Franchise who is considered to be one of the best at what he does. This is how you START to build a winning franchise, but we're much nearer the beginning of the process than the end

I see more leaf fans on here taking joy in the fact that Babcock proved much of the MSM wrong by choosing to coach the leafs. More of a 'we win!' attitude.

Pretty much the only beer I don't like are (a) the flavourless, watered-down piss sold as "domestic", and (b) anything that tastes more like fruit then beer.

Not a Toronto fan at all but can't help but be impressed with what Babcock said during his presser.
