i don't think so. we'll still be terrible for years. this just ingrains a long term system in place.

Yup. If the Leafs divest themselves of some of their top assets, it doesn't matter who the coach is, they're still going to suck. But so long as everyone remains patient and allows the systems that are being put in place run their course, this could really be a turning point for the franchise.
I just hope they don't give him too much control over trades. Some of the reports about who he wanted in Detroit are just headscratchers. |
