I understand why they went Draisaitl, they needed that big centre in the west. If Bennett was taken second, I wonder if they would have went Reinhart?

Agreed, and it would be nice to not only be developing a prospect pool at every level, but also a winning culture at every level.

Realistically, how far off are we from being able to potentially pull a Calgary? I don't think more than a year or two.

I think they look better than us. Everyone is talking about their prospects but are forgetting (and I did too) that they also have Evander Kane. Who I'm not saying is going to be the best ever, but the kid clearly needed a change of scenery and needed out of the Peg . I think he'll be great for them, especially because Babcock will straighten him out.

Kane, Eichel, Reinhart, Rasmus, Bogo, Zadorov etc..plus, if they get Babcock...watch out.
