And coaching another team. But that aside, he won the cup in Dallas with a terrible team that included Hull, Belfour, Hatcher, Modano, etc.

I dont troll. Just because you guys dont like what I say doesn't make it trolling.
It hurts most of you that I'm almost always right. Especially about the leafs.

The president is likely stee. Seems about his speed.

Let's assume this is correct. You don't think an overrated Babcock is a better coach than what they had last year?
- 1979AD

I think Randy Carlyle is a good coach, he did pretty well with nothing. Babcock has always worked with good teams. Now if you want to get into coaches that are good, based off of working with next to nothing on their team....but still managing a winning record...Barry Trotz comes to mind, Bob Hartley, Laviolette, Hitchcock, Lindy Ruff....the best coach in the league, in my opinion is Quenneville..but that's a different story.

Overrated coaches would include: Babcock & Blysma

I don't know who is better, Carlyle had a pretty good record before he came to Toronto....and he kept the Leafs competitive for a while....Babcock has never proven himself on a terrible team.

Carlyle maximized team offense at the complete dismissal of defense. There was lots of offense to draw from, but it's that philosophy that lead to the team's wild swings and shattered psyche.

Carlyle had a good record because he was on a good team, but they were declining under him, with awful possession numbers.

Look at where they are now.

When, in the past, you've described Toronto as being a poophole of a city, that is textbook trolling.

And I've yet to see you shoot over 0.500 with respect to being right

How do you know the coach who has made the playoffs for 10 straight seasons, reached the SCF with 2 different teams, won olympic gold, etc. can't get a lot out of a less talented team? He'll have a chance to prove himself with a terrible team now.

Do you realize that Trotz, Hartley, Laviolette, Hitchcock and Ruff are already under contract with other teams and that Randy Carlyle was recently fired?

You've complained about this new head coach hiring with the only rationale being that he's never coached a poopty team, which is pretty damn weak. To top it all off, you haven't put forth a better alternative.

Add in that at 40 years old then he was really quite junior for the role. He now has an additional decade more experience, in addition to claiming the triple gold
