we have the best coach in hockey for 8 years
we have a long term plan in place for once
we have our draft pick for once, and it's a damn good one

I'm willing to take him or Hitchcock as an answer but were you not getting on Babcock for having good teams? Have you seen Chicago's roster? They have (frank)ing Hossa playing a supporting role. They have the depth to only play Seabrook 18 minutes in the playoffs.

Crosby is a great player, so is Malkin, so is Letang. They are the reasons why Blysma had the success he had while coaching there. Would he have that same success on the Leafs, absolutely not. It's quite simple to understand.
