it wasn't always like that, only near the end. he relied on kronwall so much with lidstrom gone. i'm sure he wouldn't be opposed to get a future #1D that he can mold himself.

no, but he has been developing already. he will have an influence on him for sure, but he gets hanifin with no other influence on him. plus, now he gets a solid top pairing he can run with for the rest of the time he is here in toronto. well, taking into consideration that hanifin won't be playing in toronto next year, unless it is with the marlies.

It wouldn't have, that was the point of making the trade when they were actually a good team earlier in the season.

I'd rather see some young but established players come back instead of picks.

If Babcock lures any wings I hope it's Kronwall or Tatar.. But I doubt it..

But very easy to know that trading a 1st in a draft like this, given this team's ability to just flop on it's face was a bad idea. As I said at the time.


Do we really think adding Staal's 54 points in place of Kadri's 39 points makes that big of a difference, that we wouldn't have collapsed?
