The thing is they don't understand is we don't give a rats ass about them.

Edmonton sign McLelland for normal money , everyone here says nice signing, will be good for the club. Mclelland is a to 10 coach in the league same as Babcock.

We hear about the signing for a day we walk away and say congrats. They also signed a president and a GM. Again job well done.

Yesterday Boston hires a GM , a few questions about the hiring and one hour later , everything back to normal.

St Louis also hire long time NJD vet as an assistant GM, it gets back page coverage for an hour.

One of the worst teams in the leagues hire a top 10 coach and the centre of the universe summons together all the Gods and take over the country and airwaves an tells us how this is the most important news of the decade. This coach will perform bigger miracles than Jesus. He will take this team from the dregs of the world to the promise land.

They spend stupid money like those two stupid women in the Verizon commercial and just don't understand we don't care. Keep it Toronto news not global news.

Yes I am drinking cheap wine now

Just imagine the press in Edmonton or Toronto if they got BOTH Babcock and McJesus.....

naked grape is decent for the price. I prefer others. But if I was 1 on 1 with one of those bottles staring me in the face.

Well I'd destroy it.

Its obligation more than anything.

When I say destroy, I mean chug the shyt out of it.

Im a bit of a sucker for yellow tail. Its Australian, but decent for the price.

If Im really trying to get cheap and enjoy, I'll hit up copper moon shiraz from time to time.

Its not that bad really.

- vancity787

Glimmer from Australia is WAY better than yellow tail and same price. I haven't touched yellowtail in 10 years, the headaches.

Sorry not a fan of Australian wines. Copper Moon is the $hittiest thing I have ever drank.
- thundachunk

Copper Moon is gawd awful to be sure. Can't even cook with it or feed it to the the cat.

Australia is doing way too much blending right now. It waters down the products.

They do have some killer growing regions and temperatures for strong reds though.

Some of the best Shiraz I have had has come from Australia but to each their owm.

I'm sure Vintage can point me in the right direction as he's our island expert on such matters.

There will almost certainly be some wine talk from me in the blog this weekend, but for today, Jim Benning on his impressions from Utica and a first look at the Grand Rapids Griffins, in today's blog:
