He is one of the best AHL goalies and the kid Is huge. He is worth a second for a team that is desperate for goaltending. I would package him with Highins

Boston may want him also. They need a back up and Subban is a bigger risk

I'm happy that Bo has worked out well so far, but Schneider who was posting elite numbers was traded for a mid 1st round pick which was underpayment.
I doubt you are singing the same tune if the nucks had picked Nichushkin or Ristolainen.

Bo's development has nothing to do with the return for Schneider IMO.

Kessel will likely fetch a good return but yes he is worth much more than Vrbata, that doesn't mean Vrbata couldn't get a 1st.

Well there's even speculation that Schneider had also demanded a trade at that point(maybe Kesler had something to do with this). And all 29 GM's knew that Gillis had to trade one of them so he really didn't have much leverage.

Benning isn't nearly in the same situation with as much pressure as Gillis had.

We disagree. Bo was traded for a top 10 pick, not a 10-20 pick. Gillis knew exactly what he was getting in the type of character player and skill level he was getting.

You'll be spending more on goalies than even Montreal does with Price and getting less value between Lack, Miller and Luongo's salary retainment.
