Slava Fetisov wants to ban young Russians from playing in NHL
Fetisov told Russian news agency R-Sports, via the Associated Press, that there should be a federal law in place to prevent players from moving to North America before they turn 28 in an effort to "keep our most talented guys, the ones who the people come to see." - jochfr
Funny how he wants to enforce the very thing he fought and stood up against in the 80's. |

I think Crouse will drop a lot. Somewhere between 15-20. There's just so many guys who look like they could be a lot better - walshyleafsfan
he wont get past 10 if Roy has anything to do with it. He has a garth style chub for big body forwards and Crosue is the exact kind of guy Patty has been talking about in his radio show of the kind of forwards he needs "to compete in the west" |

I'd be surprised if he fell that far. He's one of those guys i could see at the 13-17 range, that Murray would try and trade up for. - Sabresfan-365
I would be suprised too, but I think this draft is going to be silly, lots of post pick interviews with the GM "I cant believe he was available at that pick". Teams draft boards are going to be dramatically different for those mid 1st round picks.
I think there will be a lot of movement of teams moving up and dropping down to "get their guy" |

Zboril to me is the best Dman after the big 3 in Hanafin, Provo, and Werneski. If you can snag him at 21, consider that a steal. After him, the Kylingtons, Roys, Carlos, Chabots, are all the same, you could easily get them in the 2nd round. Take the forward with that pick. - DDM-Coga
big slide down this year |

ARi takes Hanifin and the Leafs would eb wise to take strome. HE not only is better and bigger than Marner but local boy always helps....... and apparently the youngest brother may become the best of the bunch |

Agreed, could be lots of movement once we pass pick 14 and certain guys are still available. |

I've been saying for awhile now that if the Sabres could get Kylington with the 31st pick, I'd be totally ok with it. Not sure if I'm a fan of picking him at 21 based off of some of the criticism he's received this year. |

If you could get Rychel AND Drouin for...
Any 2 of: Zadorov, Pysyk, McCabe
AND any 2 of: Grigorenko, Compher, Fasching, Hurley, Baptiste, Carrier, Bailey
AND a combination of draft picks, would you do it? - kingcong39
Let's pretend one team holds both. And let's pretend the GM had one too many concussions in his career.
Here's my extremely hypothetical offer based on what I feel they are worth.

The Sabres wont be picking at 21. I would be willing to place many bets on that.
That pick is in a deal for a top 6 forward, IMO |

having that 2nd 1st round is huge in this draft. There will be a lot of teams wanting to get back into the 1st round and looking to snag your pick. Lots of options now. |

I think hes there at 31. Hell you could even trade down to from the 31 pick and probably still get him, I can see him going as low as 40 |

Why does your ref hate Eichel so much? - Sabresfan-365
Not sure. We have 2 refs that hate something or other, and there's absolutely nothing that will convince them otherwise. Good guys, but man are they stubborn. Eichel will be fantastic, no doubt. Tbh, there may be a Canadian vs American thing involved? There's a lot of Leafs fans seem pissed because of the lack of kids from Ontario on the Leafs. (In actuality, most of the prospects are from Toronto, but it's because Tavares, Stamkos, McDavid etc. Are on other teams) |

Thats why I think its a cant miss draft as well, lots of trade action this year.
Jets could be active too with Burmistrov coming back, they have the Blues pick. maybe they package those up to try to get 16-18 range. |

Yeah i could see that.Thing is, me personally, thinks that bigger in the west is a bit misleading. Other than Anaheim (who, to be fair look good to win it this year) and St.Louis (who take it to the extreme) it doesn't seem that size is any better than skill. LA aren't massive but have guys like Carter, Brown, Dougthy who are solid physically. |

I get that feeling as well. However, if it doesn't get moved, I'd still rather risk Kylington falling to us at 31. |
