I don't think he would. McDavid has been touted as a saviour since he was 15 (ish). Eichel flew more under the radar. In the same way Crosby was Crosby since he was 15.

Eichel had a lot of the same type of attention around 16. You can't deny that geographic location played a MASSIVE role in exposure. Not to mention to the layman, McJesus' stats look way better than Eichel. I don't need to explain why. Not going to sit here and say Eichel deserves to be ahead of McJesus. But what I will say is that I firmly believe each will be a franchise cornerstone to their respective franchises, albeit in slightly different ways. You've got yourself a Crosby, I think we've got ourselves a Toews-Kane.

I think Rychel would cost you one of the D above and a pick, so say a Buffalo 2nd or a Buffalo 3rd in next year's draft.

I think Drouin would realistically cost you one of the other D above, Baptiste, the NYI 1st, and possibly one more thing, whether that be another pick or lower level prospect.

My fear of the D prospect depth and the D on the NHL team have me fearful of making either trade.
