Let's just hope Benning isn't, he's the only one who matters. Well, Delorme too apparently... - Nucker101
You know hockey fans are getting more educated on many levels now. You see it by the not only knowledge their team and their farm club , but they are educated on other teams and their farm systems.
Nowadays fans follow the JRs and the draft unlike any other decade previous. We are also looking into college hockey and leagues overseas. |

For those too lazy to read/click
- Says Barzal and Provorov are top 10 pick talents
- Likes Pilon's skating/skill/size but there's question about his determination and intensity
- Favourite prospect from the WHL is Nick Merkley, sees him as a poor man's Sam Bennett. High end speed, skill, vision and plays bigger than his size
- Seems to really like Austin Wagner as a 2nd round pick, 6'2 with speed/skill and can forecheck well(some people at HF who watch the WHL say he's really underrated as well)
- Very high on Noah Juulsen, an aggressive/mean defensemen with skill
- Also like Ryan Gropp, but he's more of a perimeter/skill player
- Other later round picks he likes are:
Keegan Kolesar
Adam Musil
Tyler Soy - Nucker101
Would love to see Merkley be still available when we pick but I doubt that happens. I'm looking forward to watching how he and the Rockets match up against Cassels and the Generals in the Memorial Cup.
I know people are high on our sudden C depth but the addition of a high end playmaker like Merkley, Harkins or even Beauvillier would great.
I still think Horvat/McCann/Cassels/Gaunce ceilings don't project like first line talent.

We still have three years of Hank with some decent 2LC in the mix. We need to fix the D first. Next year draft down the middle again |

Thats a fair point but I just don't ever think drafting D in the first round unless you get one of the top tier guys a la Jones, Doughty etc. Many of the best D are 2nd round or later picks. Very few of the #1 Centers are. |

That is usually a fair statement, but because Canucks have avoided the D issue for years, band aids won't work anymore. They need to get 4 more young reliable D men
I could see Bieksa traded and Franson picked up , even though some on here would be against it |

No thanks, you talk about Bieksa's defensive liabilities. Well, not too much of an improvement with Franson (albeit he's younger than Bieska). He has a -27 in the last couple of years, not exactly anything to write home about or turn any heads in terms of trying to acquire him. And the offensive side of things aren't noticeably different (Franson did have a decent year last year with 33 points, but the other years as compared to Bieksa are pretty much a wash). Lastly, Franson is a wallflower compared to Bieksa. If we want to take a step back with respect to our demands for a tougher team then, yes, let's add Franson. |

Does St. Louis think he's still playing for Tampa? Nash has been invisible, but St. Louis is noticeable for all the wrong reasons. |

I am just saying Botchford brought it up the other day that this was a possibility

Well, I was just responding to your comment "I could see Bieksa traded and Franson picked up , even though some on here would be against it". There was no mention of Jason Botchford, ya dank . Now, owe up to your statement, ye beeyatch lol
So, what are your real thoughts on this? would you consider picking up Franson in favour of Bieksa? |

I think that you should add "neither" as an option.
And I vote for that. |

not only a goof, but a narcissistic egotistical feck face who thinks he knows it all (worst yet, he thinks he's actually funny/witty *groan*). That whole @#$ panel (besides Friedman) should be removed immediately citing viewer cruel and unusual punishment |
