Not sure why you would include Foligno in that group as I think he will be a beast once he finds his spot (I think he has). Gorges has been a warrior in the past but I think you're seeing him hit the downside of his career.

With players like Kane, Eichel, Reinhart, Ennis, Girgensons as locks for the top 5, I don't think Foligno beats out every other player on the roster to earn #6.

I like the game he played most of the year. I think he's gotten back to the type of play that got him to the NHL in the first place. The offensive success he found at first ended up changing the way he played. He needs to just go out, bang around along the boards, and drive the net. That's where you'll see him be most effective.

Exactly. You put him with Deslauries and maybe Schaller and you've got a real nice 4th line.

That's what I mean, though. He's neither a spectacular goal scorer or playmaker. He can be okay at them at times, but even when he's at his best, he doesn't jump out at me as a top 6 guy.

He can do spot duty due to injuries and stuff, but if he's consistently in the top 6 there is a problem, like you said.

Marchant was a SOB during that run too. He was injured for some of it. I just remember them saying how he was playing like his hair was on fire.
