I'm just super excited about the upcoming year. We might not be Stanley Cup contenders next year, but it will definitely be exciting to see a raw talented and young roster. Ennis and Kane are both proven top 6 players. It's safe to say Eichel will be as well. Reinhart sure has the hockey IQ and skillset to be a top 6 center. I believe our defense group is in a fairly good spot, but we could definitely add another top 4 to help our depth. I say our biggest hole right now is at right wing. We need to add to the top 6, possibly to both wings depending how high you are on Moulson and moving Ennis to the right. Our bottom 6 is in a good spot. Goaltending is a funny thing, but I think we give Ullmark a good look at the NHL level. Hackett too?

I don't see Marleau just because of Murray's comments before about targeting guys 24 and under. I've always liked him, but at some point in the very near future there's going to be a sharp decline in his production.

We could do worse than Howard, but I've never been a huge fan. I don't mind ROR, but his previous contract negotiations scare me. I don't want to move a bunch of assets for a guy that most likely is going to test Free Agency after 1 year.

I would be fine with it then. While I'm sure he'll end up getting more money than I think he probably should, if he's locked up for awhile, I would deal with it. That means he won't get moved until after July 1st though. Can't negotiate a new contract with him until then.

watching the playoff games this weekend, I wonder if a player like moulson, foligno or gorges will put it in that extra gear


the more I watch, the more the bottom half of the roster seems to be the difference maker in who advances, or at the very least if the other team is in a position to advance

Two great centers, at least one premier sniper on the wing, and a hot goalie are the prerequisites to qualify.

Then it's how the others kick it up a notch that determines who wins the whole thing.
