I don't like anyone on the Pens and I wouldn't make a deal with them. - SABRES 89
Poulliot?
They would not trade him and it would take a lot more than the late first rounder. |

MacLean is a bad Head coach, he didn't do very much with the Sens. Coach of the year and the fired, we can do better. I wouldn't mind disco Dan. - SABRES 89
MacLean is a damn good coach and learned under Babcock. He did an excellent job in Ottawa with a limited budget. I'd be fine with him. |

I would also consider offering the Ducks our 21st pick for John Gibson, maybe that's a little much. |

I still don't understand why Bylsma would not be a good hire. Isn't the whole reason why he was run out of Pittsburg was because of Crosby's hissy-fit in the locker room that literally divided the team? I said it before and I'll say it again, Crosby is a great player with world class talent, but he is NOT a good leader and causes too many headaches in my opinion.
If the only excuse for Bylsma winning is because of "Crosby and Malkin", then how come they still haven't made it past the first round without Bylsma? It doesn't solely fall on the coach. Crosby hasn't mature, he's still down a ref's throat after every whistle and is a complete non-factor for his team when mentally thrown off his game.
There's plenty of positive supporting cast here in Buffalo that not many other teams in the NHL have. We have the renovations in downtown and an expanding hockey facility. Also a passionate owner that brings stability to the franchise. Bylsma would be a good fit. - awildmudkip
You must have made that up. I never heard anything of the sort. Bylsma was run out of town because he wasn't a very good coach. Especially with making adjustments (both in-game and during playoff series). He repeatedly got his ass handed to him year after year in the playoffs.
His first adjustment to the Bruins in the ECF, came in game 3. The Pens couldn't score at all in that series, and Dan makes his first personnel change on the PP in the second to last chance in game 4. He had Iggy on the 2nd unit for that series. The guy still has a right handed bomb and he never once got on the ice with Crosby. He actually had Iggy playing left wing the entire series with Malkin. It was obvious Iggy was not comfortable at left wing.....ya know because he became a HOF player at RW.
I could go on and on because he made a dump truck load of poor decisions during his tenure. He's a hell of nice guy, but too damn stubborn to win when it matters (playoffs). If you guys hire him, pray that he's been humbled a little bit. |

I think you're putting way too much stock into a very small sample size.
But anyways...
Who do u want as a coach? - jdfitz77

I would do that too.
NHL draft is different where the only real locks are at the top of the draft. Sure, you can land a good player later on, but it is kind of just luck.
Gibson was drafted 37, I think it is worth the risk. |

Murray has been pretty good at giving picks away so far.
I still remember us trading Halak and our 3rd this year for Nuevirth and Klesla. So the guy refuses to play for us or our AHL team, and we just hand them the better goalie, and the 1st pick in the 3rd round?
Not to mention the two 2nd rounders +McNabb for a guy who was drafted in the 4th the year before |

Didn't make that up. Crosby has been a huge distraction to his team mates than a leader. Since 2012, locker room questioned his captaincy. And when they were eliminated by the Rangers in 2013, there was a big divide in the locker room. But ya know, I'm just making things up.

Also Orpik and Niskanen's comments. Coincidence they decided to go elsewhere?

Even Mark Recchi was sick of Sid's attitude with all of his complaining after the whistle. |
