Wouldn't be a bad stop gap until/if one of the kids is/becomes ready.
Don't think I'd give up a first, though.

Anderson, Hammon, Lehner; somebody's gonna get traded there.
And I'd assumer TM's bloodlines would garner him the insider track... Should he choose. |

Guy's a good goalie. Great? No. But, last time I checked, teams aren't trading franchise goalies, and, according to most on here, you don't need a franchise goalie.
Wouldn't give up a first, though. At least, I wouldn't. |

Anybody up for signing Enroth or Nuiverth via UFA?
Prob not a ton of starting jobs out there for them to choose from. Maybe Edm is a destination now? |

I agree I wouldn't trade that first for a goalie either. Goalies are so interchangable nowadays, we can find one through trade, FA, or a later round draft pick. While I like Gibson I don't think it's worth it. I do think that pick will be moved though. Either useing it to move up or for a NHL player of some sort - Cheeseballin
I hope we either move up or keep it. Unless they can find a good young player worth trading for. I just don't see them making another huge deal line the Kane one. |

Might also want to think about using said 1st rd pick in some Ryan O'Riley offers?
Grigorenko, Larrsson, and the NYI 1st rd pick to Col, for R. O'Riley? |

How far does 21+31 get you vs 21+51? Im hoping they either keep 31 or move it for a roster player (like Lack) |

Maybe Neuvirth. Murray likes big goalies though. So neither might be in his plan. I think he will trade for a younger goalie that can be a starter next year. |

I think it's a good chance we are just going to pick in that spot but Murray seems eager to do something with that pick. |

Trade a 2nd rd pick to Ottawa for Robyn Lehner?
I could live with that.
Lehner was a highly touted prospect in the AHL. |

I wouldn't do the 31st pick, But I wouldn't mind giving him a shot here. It's hard to judge the value of a goalie like him. |

I can't believe people are questioning Sidney Crosby's attitude like seriously? the dude is so quiet off the ice and people are saying he's a distraction in the locker room I hate the Pittsburgh Penguins but let's stop the nonsense |

With glaring holes at RW & G, it would make a lot of sense to flip that pick.
But maybe we don't have to... A guy like devin Dubnyk was had for a 3rd rd'er. |

Somebody mentioned Eddie lack earlier... that would be a solid pick-up.
Would you trade the NYI 1st rd'er to Vancouver, for Lack?
He looks ready to roll as a young starter. |

I'm ok with him flipping that pick in a package for a young top six player not for a goalie though. Or he can trade 21 + 31 to move up and pick up a great prospect. It's going to be an exciting draft I think |
