I know and for years I have said its the name on the front not on the back , but this is Eddie the Clown Lack. Second rounder is not enough IMO - VANTEL
I don't think it is either. At least not for a starting NHL goalie.
Here in lies our issue. Many teams opt the 2 starting goalie system. News flash it doesn't work. #1 goalies are like the Highlander. There can be only one. Anyone can argue it does but I won't listen. People who follow this team should know all too well. RIght now we have 2 starters we see how well that worked out for us the last time. One needs to move. |

The thing I don't like about trading Lack for picks is he has proven he can play in the NHL, your draft pick may not.
If you were trading Lack for a St.Louis RFA hold out maybe , but for a second rounder makes me sad.
I just realized I have a man crush on Lack - VANTEL
I get what you're saying, however, Miller is old and really difficult to move. He still plays at an equal level as Lack IMO but his age and salary say he stays.
Markstrom is unproven at the NHL level so his value is not as high; to me moving Lack just makes sense. I have no personal attachment to any of the players, I'm thinking what's best for the future of the franchise, if that means moving a fan favorite, so be it.
They're not winning the Cup any time soon anyways. |

Its not exaggerated at all. Miller is still a middle of the line starter with a contract in par with players of his ilk. CoHo is barely an NHL player and makes 4.5. - Bieksa#3
He makes 4.25 on a bad team that everyone had a bad year. His upside could be a 3 Rd line centre. He is one yer removed from their top line.
Miller brings you the same stats as Lack at 4 times the cost. He is definitely on the downside of his swing |

Cody is barely an nhler anymore. And at 4.5 fior another 4 yrs . - Bieksa#3
I wouldn't touch his contract with a ten foot pole. |

I see Hansen come up with the puck more than anyone else on the forecheck |

What's the immediate benefit though? The next two years mean very little, plus, we've got Demko as the future goaltender...the kid is good. |

He was given all types of opertunities in buff. Playing with solid players k me Vanek, Moulson, Ennis etc. And yet always refused to bacjcheck. As bad a buffalo is/was Cody had trouble making the line up. He's what,26 this yr? What you see is what you get. Cisy isn't an NHL player and makes over 4 mill |

His lack of footspeed is his downfall, he just can't get there despite a good training regime in the summer. |

Markstrom has no value. If moving miller for Cody is our best bet then he has negative value. Miller and lack give us similar production. Lack goes. And given the goalie market, I highly doubt we get a 1st. I hope so, but.......

Hansen and Burrows are probably the two best and Higgins is third. Too bad they all aren't the best offensive talents |

You know, theres lots of bottom 6 players who are weak skaters and solid defensive players. Sayinh its footspeed is just making excuses. Its impossible to have NHL skill and be that bad without the puck. Its called a piss poor attitude |

Marty St Louis has short legs, so did Theo, they were still fast. He just isn't fast. Flexibility, hip structure, whatever, he's just slow. |

I'm sure that's a part of it, but as a center, you've gotta be able to skate. Maybe he should be put on the wing. I think Vigneault had him on the wing didn't he? |
