Another coach you don't approve of - SABRES 89
Most people here are indifferent, not disapproving, to him.
Just about every candidate out there is pretty underwhelming after Babcock. Blashill isn't going anywhere. |

True, but like Leddy and Byfuglien, you need players that are better, much better, than they are in order to be a championship caliber team. Saad is a nice player, and I would take him on my team in a second, but he absolutely falls into that category as well. - buffalofan19
None of them should or was expected to be their teams best players.
In reality, Winnipeg had to top 4 picks in Kane and Bogosian that should have been better than Ladd or Byfuglien, and often times weren't |

Not to mention Ladd went from a third liner to a first liner when he was traded. - CaptainRivet
Ladd is a good player, but he really probably should be a 2nd liner. On a legit contender, that's ideally where he'd fit. |

I agree, but I have a fundamental problem with breaking the bank, or even bending over backwards to sign/keep those types of players. When you are signing Saad to an offersheet, you are doing just that.
Also, I see what you did there. |

Lucky for us Kane and Bogosian don't need to be our best players. That's what Reinhart, Eichel and Risto should be. |

Personally, like I have said before, I'd rather draft our version of Saad or ROR. But if he's ripe for the picking, I'd offer sheet him |

Like I said before, though, it's probably irrelevant. It appears they're going to sign him and worry about cap ramifications later. I doubt he gets to July 1st. |

So since it looks like we are getting Bylsma, who did better with the coaching hire, us or San Jose? |

Not only that, but you have to get a guy to agree to an offer sheet. Money talks, but so do championships. If he's happy in Chicago, he very well may take a much more cap friendly number than he could get elsewhere. |

I'm not a DeBoer fan at all, so I'd much rather have Bylsma. |

I like Saad but I have a hard time believing Chicago doesn't smile if we offer sheet him and they take a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd from us. |

Money talks, you give him 36 over 6, he's wearing a Sabre jersey next year. |

Hard to say, but there's nothing about DeBoer that impresses me whatsoever. At least Bylsma has some success, even if it was "inherited". |

Did you listen to Craig Rivet on WGR today, loves Bogosian and what he can bring to the Sabres. Said, ahem, hmmm, well listen to the last hour of hockey hotline or whatever they call that cruddy show. I don't want to pick at old scabs. |
