I'll never understand the dislike of so many personalities by people on this site. There are some excellent people in the local media.

That's true. I think people are so used to regurgitating this kind of stuff that they never really think if it is true or not.

In the case of White, he has been completely on point about the Sabres for a few years now. He was on the rebuild before anyone else was and he really killed it over the last few months of the season. I think people are used to personalities that do not do any kind of critical or original thinking.

Not the ones I have to listen to.

Jeremy and Schopp are brutal.

My problem, for the most part, is his personality. I understand that he may be a COMPLETELY different person off-air. But his on-air personality is what I hear.

Howard doesn't rub me the wrong way. Neither does Bulldog. The guy that just left for Channel 2 was EXCELLENT ! Greg Bauch was really enjoyable.

Schopp and white may be smart, intelligent people but over the radio I need more than that.

I guess it's a matter of preference - I'll take smart and intelligent all day long over the cutesy/folksy kind of humor that Simon usually brings.

My problem with White is that he goes to extremes make his point, and won't let it go.

Pastrnak got to play with Lucic and Krejci, if Reinhart can be paired with a vet then it's more likely but it's a tall order to stick two rookie teenagers on a line and expect them to put up numbers right away.

Mackinnon put up 38 pts in 64 games playing with guys like Landeskog and O'Reilly.

- Sabresfan-365

I think it could be good for Reinhart to spend some time in the A this year. It gives him a chance to develop some more and takes a bit of pressure off the NHL squad from having 2 rookie centers on the team. Could he play in the NHL this year? Sure. But if he doesn't have to, why force it?

All any of us are going to be looking for this year is some growth in the team. Very few educated Sabre fans expect they'll make the playoffs, and for good reason.

Now, if he comes into training camp and blows us away, I'm all for keeping him here too. I think we need to just wait and see how things pan out before Sept 1st.

The biggest hurtle will be over coming the transition to 3-4 games a week. Being young it will be a big step. Some handle it some don't . Might see 10 games here then 5 in Rochester.

The best thing for Reinhart's development will be to start the year in Rochester. I get the feeling Murray and Bylsma would stress developing young players and bringing them along slowly. Let Reinhart get acclimated to the pro game and let him be the #1C down there. It won't hurt.

That's gonna be something that Eichel needs to adjust to as well. It's a good learning experience to be in the minors paying your dues. Even if it's only for half the year, it could be good for Reinhart to spend some of that time there.

You would probably have a better shot trading for Hiller and have Makarov be the backup. Would be cheap. I fully expect Ramo to re-sign with Calgary while they get Ortio some spot starts next year for like $3.75/yr 2 yr deal.
- FLflames34

As a Flames fan I am sure you would want the club to re-sign Ramo, no question. If they pass, many teams will be interested in him, including Buffalo. I don't see a scenario whereas Hiller would come here. This team is all about the future and developing players and I think we'll trade for a young goalie and sign another. I don't see Makarov in the mix just yet.

I'm going to wait and see whether I think Reinhart needs to spend time in the minors. As we saw, and Tim Murray basically echoed back in April or May, the former coach of this franchise had a very difficult time putting players in positions to succeed, and there's no doubt in my mind that Reinhart was one of them when he was here. Hopefully, Dan Bylsma is miles better at this than the last guy.

Where does Olli fit in as to helping out Reinhart, this has gone overlooked long enough

Like I had said in a previous post, we need to wait and see how training camp goes. Add development camp into that as well.

Speaking of which, do you think Risto and Zads will be required to be at development camp? Girgensons was there last year, so my guess would be yes.

My reasoning behind saying he could benefit from being in the A for a bit is to let him get adjusted to the physical aspect more with less pressure on him. The A tends to be a bit more physical than the NHL, IMO so if he can handle it there, time to bring him up and let him adjust to the speed of the NHL game. It allows him to make those two adjustments at two different times.

I think he could be successful in Buffalo too, given the right circumstances (NOT playing with guys like Kaleta).
