If bylsma is murrays guy and this is what it takes then it is what it is. I think the NHL will change the rule soon enough.

I wont ever understand the "logic" behind feeling entitled to compensation for something you dont want. If you think Reinhart will be on the roster next season let alone a difference makers, you are sorely mistaken. He is still a few years away from being the player he can be. He's a wash for next season.

As for Kane and Eichel, maybe they get you 10 more points, but nowhere near the middle of the pack. The huge question mark is what they do with the second first rounder and the goalie situation.

I think that adding Eichel, Kane, Reinhart, Pysyk (full time), No Meszaros, No Benoit, a full year of Bogo, a healthy Girgensons, and a healthy Gorges can add 30 points.

yes... Goalie is my biggest glaring issue right now as well but that is me assuming that TM obviously brings in someone and not use Chad Johnson as our starter.

I'd assume we have Neuvirth or Lindback back.. AT WORST case scenario.

Right.... I have always liked Lindback since he was in NSH but he went to TB and just bombed there... Came here was bad but then with solid goalie play got a lot better.

See, I'm having a lot of trouble wrapping my head around this. I mean, yeah, he can improve them once they enter the organization. That's all well and good. But then, as soon as they leave, like as soon as, they (frank)ing suck again. You don't just forget how to be better in a matter of days. Clearly a function of system. Or maybe the 40 shots/game kept them frosty. Who the hell knows.

how long was kane and toews in the minors after they were drafted?


reinhart and eichel are the future of the sabres and if your keeping eichel with the big club, no reason to not keep both
