The Canucks don't have a 2nd and 3rd round pick and according to the Nucks blogger they will be seeking additional picks at the draft. Would you consider moving one of our picks for Eddie Lack. Not enough?

Hamilton is probably the last guy that they would move. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever for them to trade him when there are plenty of other options. - HonkFortheGoose

That doesn't help us long term though. You'd ideally want someone who you wouldn't be afraid to give a multi year contract to. He's a good temp for now but sooner or later they'll have to address unless one of there own guys overachieves in the next year or two.

I'm not keen on that type of move either, but who do we have in the pipeline after Bogo, Risto, Zads, Pysyk, Weedy and McCabe? I mean of the future, not Jorges and Weber. A team needs depth; injuries and free agency happen... - LandlordTom
I agree with you and the Ref, but a guy like Hamilton would - or should I say "should" - not come cheap.

I think you have this right.
But the clamor about his preference for grinder vets over talented youth still leaves me watching pretty carefully. - Der Kaiser
Oh I agree there just aren't those veteran grinder types on the Sabres roster so he doesn't have much of a choice to play the kids.
Plus I would still look at the situation he was in. He came in and won the Cup. He was expected to do it every year. He had no where to go but down and his GM didn't exactly give him a roster with enough depth to play the kids where they should be played IMO.
