Best thing that can happen. Get his agent to broker a deal.

He was a healthy scratch in the march game I went to.

Would you trade him for a first round pick (top 15) in this years draft?

Yeah

Then again I'm amused at the people on here who would give up Horvat for LD.

And Benning saw it in person. I don't think that he's the goalie that's going to be moved, he's been putting on a show this spring.

It'll probably be Lack, which I'm not happy about. I've got nothing against Miller, he seems like a good guy, but right now his contract feels a little like handcuffs.

This is the easiest game of "Would you Do It?" that I've ever played. Of course you make that trade.

To be fair there isn't player in this entire tourney I wouldn't move for that same pick. Not one top line NHL player

I feel Markstrom learning under Miller for a couple years is a good scenario. Because no one with half a brain is trading for Miller at his age with the amount of cap.

Yup. A NTC isn't the only way to make a contract untradeable. And Miller has one of those to boot.

Not sure I can say yes. The guy is a leader, so perhaps he may not be a fit in Van.

It's not ideal, Miller is a pretty expensive mentor, but it's the way that it's probably going to be. I'd still prefer Lack, but he's the easier piece to move and will probably bring a little more back.

When using the word mentor, I'm not sure how lack is a better option

Lack wouldn't be a mentor, he would be a young starting goalie.
